    Very happy with it so far, but time will ultimately tell. I remember reading somewhere on here that the bottom bolts protruding up drove them nuts. Well I have to agree and I think I have the solution. The rubber mats that came with the safe seem to be the exact thickness as the bolt heads. I plan to cut a small hole out of the rubber mat so the rubber mat fits flush with the bottom. Then, I plan to use the rubber mat as a template to cut the stock "carpeted" bottom then place that over the rubber mat. I think it will solve the "bump" problem with the stock bolt heads AND solve one additional OCD problem I am having...the angled rubber bottom doesn't quite fill the entire bottom, it is short about 1/8", well the stock carpet bottom that I know fits flush is right at about 1/8" longer than the rubber one. I will update as soon as I can complete it. Also want to give Sparks Toyota a big shout out, ordered yesterday and it arrived at my house today and is already installed, now that's FAST!

    Ok made the modifications to the rubber liner that came with the safe and also trimmed the OEM mat to fit. It actually fits better than the pictures turned out and it seems much more OEM than just the rubber mats.

    Anyone tried one from consolevault.com? They look interesting to me.

    Thanks Beerdude for posting up those pics.Kinda disappointed that the gun vault didn't contain a Glock 19.

    Hmm, I don't remember the bottom bolts "protruding up" in mine. Have to look when I get home.

    No but there is a 43 (warm weather EDC) in there, you can see it's green glowing "eyes" staring at you in the left side of the vault...

    The half safe from SE Toyota comes with one key. The key isn't really needed unless you forget the combination to the lock.

    It’s worth doing. The Toyota safe is surprisingly stout and the design is pretty well thought out.

    And for those wondering: it’s a three-dial lock. The key isn’t used unless you forget the combo.

    I had a Console Vault in my Tacoma, have a Lock'er Down half safe in my Tundra. Both are well made.

    Those are definitely nice for those that need/want a full size vault. I only wanted the half size and I couldn't justify the jump in price between mine their half size version and I wanted the integrated tray...

    @Beerdude77
    Yep, true fact! I’m glad there’s options. When I bought mine there were fewer choices.
    I’m storing more than that glock: extra ammo, laser/flash site, binoculars, garmins, occasionally my wallet and iPod, wireless winch controller, and my wife’s purse.

    Yeah I'm planning to get the ESP long box down the road for the bigger items especially now that they no longer require the spacer between the seats and the box. Again the Lock'er Down version is probably better but $700>$1200 especially after dropping $2100 on a new sound system and still have a Diamondback cover, fender flares, wheels and tires, leveling kit etc etc to get....damn this site is gonna make me go broke...lol
