    Couple things
More gizmos = more recalls, unfortunately, many asked for this.

Every vehicle is a software coding project now that generates lots of recalls or bulletins for a software blow.

I dont stay awake at night worrying about those.

Nor do I correlate # of recalls with vehicle quality or reliability if 3/4 of them are software blows.

It's the ones that need significant physical work on the truck that linger for yrs to complete or solve that are noteworthy

Not always true - my '12 BMW X5 has more gizmos on it than most 3rd gen tundras (it had 360 cameras back in 2012, adapative/radar cruise control.... HUD and a bunch of other things)- all of that is original... all of that still works after 14/15 years and closing in on 200k miles.

    Nitrogen filled tires!
I got the minimal gizmo SR5 intentionally. No BSM, no heated seats or heated steering wheel, no whopper display, nothing added to base option other than rubber floor mats and wheel locks. So far, and nearly 3 years later, everything is working without issue.
