I'm just going to say these have got to be the worst set of headers I have ever seen.

I thought all JBA headers had a metal badge attached to one of the tubes, mine do but I purchased them long ago... You can see the badge in this image

I wouldnt play the waiting game too long.
Start a refund process via ebay.
Seller will have X number of days to make it right.
If not, then open up a resolution case with Paypal (usually done automatically thru Ebay)
If nothing has been resolved, last case would be to open a case with your credit card company.

Yeah I already have a open case on eBay, but I feel like this is going to get resolved, seller seems like a stand up guy, has been helpful and understanding. We are both waiting on the final word from jba.

Here’s some pics of my JBA long tube headers with Titanium Ceramic coating. Your headers should have the JBA stamp and the model number of the headers should be stamped into the metal. The headers you showed don’t look like they have any special finish to them at all. I hope the pics help you see if yours are similar. CB797372-4F20-4EFE-8467-A3C325C9A063.jpg

Sadly they are not, but don’t let my experience deter you because there’s plenty of people running them with no problems, I just think my air and exhaust ports are rough.

I had a convo with a jba representative and he pretty much indirectly said that I should have gotten the pricier ones, mine are the entry level ones, just stainless steel uncoated, I don’t know if their quality control is better on the pricier ceramic coated ones but that’s the feeling I got.

Yea they have the stamp and are 6012s, your ports are better looking than mine.

Looks like they are real. :(

I thought they'd be TIG Welded headers, but after really looking at what they cost, Booger welded in Mexico makes sense.

That's honestly shocking. JBA just knocked themselves off my headers list. You should never have to buy the top of the line of something to get solid quality. I've seen 5th grade clay ashtrays that looked better.

I only paid $640 total for mine from Amazon. But they have gone up to $732 now. I’m very happy with the performance and sound!

Yea I had a coupon from eBay so I went that route, only paid 480 for them, I’ll see what solution I reach with jba, I know they can get me a better quality header.

I know the headers that DAP tuning recommended first was American Racing. They are considerably more! Here’s the price with the mid pipes and cats. 623C5EC7-1880-4A5D-BF5E-4E42FC2D4850.jpg

The seller has agreed on a return. I will be getting my money back.

After talking to a jba representative today, he said that the ceramic coated headers go thru sand blasting and a little sanding so they end up being a better product than what I have, they didn’t see a problem with my headers as long as they properly sealed when installed. All headers are hand welded in Tijuana and mine being unsymmetrical is not alarming to them as long as they line up with the gasket and seal properly.

Jba and seller were very helpful thru the whole thing.

In conclusion I will be returning these and possibly buying the ceramic coated ones. I suggest if you had jba in mind to do the same.

Glad you're getting your money back. I figure if I'm wanting to really boost HP I'll spring for that full on American Racing setup and a supercharger lol.

My Ceramic coated short tube JBA's were installed 14 years, and 140k ago. They never had the slick finish I see pictured, they had more of a chalky finish. It seems like the early coating is doing okay, but I bet the new finish would hold up even better.
