Does anyone have any experience with these? I am currently trying to remove my uca from the spindle, JBA uses what appears to be a nylon lined nut and this sucker is just spinning on the stud but not moving. The stud is completely stationary but the nut will not go up or down the stud, just spins.

    any help is appreciated

Ended up splitting the nut and finding this carnage beneath it…

The arms were installed about 6 months ago.

the only thing I can think is I overtightened them and sheared off the threads…

The bolt was stripped as well

    That's what happened.

The loss of threads allowed some play in the nut which contributed to this outcome. We find these at work every now and then, eventually they just jiggle in place. Not something you'd want on a ball joint.

    Lesson learned ;)

now I get to hurry up and wait for the replacements, two weeks out :annoyed:

I will say marlin from jba was amazing with his customer service skills, he offered to send me free warranty replacements without even hinting it was install error. I ended up paying for my own since I figured it was something I screwed up :hattip: kudos jba

What did you use to tighten them? Also, great to hear about the customer service.

1 regret I have from upgrading tundras, was not pulling the JBA's off my old one. Glad to see their customer service is still solid

A castle nut and cotter key has always been my preference for fasteners that really matter. Do the JBA only use nylon lock nut?
