What is everyone seeing for max boost stock form vs map 1 or 2?

 

I’m currently having troubles with mine. Bluetooth adapter isn’t working and I’m having the error code for one of the connectors. I think I’m on map 2 but have no way of adjusting it or reading boost. Bought it second hand so they are refusing to help me with it. I guess they fixed the plug issue but I would have to buy a new one for them to give me any support.

 

Has the plug been shaved down? They had an issue with early versions where the plug was a bit too long and it wouldn't clip

 

Yeah I shaved it down when I got it but still occasionally get the engine code for it. They said they have a whole new plug they made for it but won’t send it to me. Then I opened up the sealed Bluetooth module per their request and they just responded and said yeah it needs to be replaced and told me to buy it off the website.

Too bad the warranty stays with the original purchaser. That looks like water intrusion and corroded the board. I occasionally get a p00cf and its that darn plug. I just unplug and plug back in and its good to go for a few months. Wanna buy my Bluetooth module? I can upgrade to the "new" version and you can get this one for cheap.

 

I would love to keep the jb4 if I can just get it working. I dont use it for gauges I just need the module to change the tune.

 

Just got mine in a few days ago and hooked up. Misread the product page as the wireless module was optional, so I'm stuck in map1 until my wireless kit gets here. Was impressed with how much gain their Dyno showed (+20hp/50tq iirc) with just dropping their filters in with the jb4 so ordered a pair of those as well with the wireless module.

Definitely a nice difference even on map1. It gets up and GOES even on 35x12.50. I did have 2 codes when I started it, assuming my truck was still able to see my key fob despite being over 20' away and locked for 10< minutes. They cleared with my cheap autel code reader and haven't came back yet, was worried for a bit though.

Closest e85 is an hour away so I'll most likely be on map 2-3 most of the time, but looking forward to being able to try them out. I thought HARD about getting a VFtuner setup and having it flash tuned, but I've still got a whole lot of warranty left and was iffy on it. Shouldn't really matter now that I'm included in the engine recall with a 3/23 build.

Anyone had their dealer give them grief over either a jb4 or flash tune?

Anyone had one lock up with a jb4 or flash tuned? I wouldn't think it would matter being I have a new safety recall engine assembly in my back pocket...but figured the piggyback was still the safer option of the two as far as dealing with warranty work.

That was my view on this.

Frankly, that's a Toyota deal, vs JB4 (which im sure you know). There is no Timing advance there, and only when the ECM starts adding in timing advance do they begin to drop AFRs to 10.1

 

Yep...would be interesting to see what a TRD tuned timing table looks like.
