So I have a P365XL that I carry; and I've just transitioned from pocket/OWB carry to IWB carry....at which point i found out that (at least for me) the IWB holster I have absolutely sucks. LOL

Wanting thoughts on what others think about whatever IWB holster they have so I can do some research. Thoughts appreciated. :)

100% Aliengear Shapeshift Core Carry pack. I tried maybe 5 IWBs before i found this on another members suggestion. They are amazing I promise you wont regret it. Best part is the pack comes with 4 options of carry, IWB, appendix, OWB and a quick belt paddle carry. AND, you can simply buy a plastic shell for another firearm and it clips right to your setup.

Ah yeah, I've looked at them - I have to admit the different carry options are attractive. :)

You honestly dont even feel that its there. I carry at the 3 to 4:30 position depending on what I am wearing and stuff. Just make sure you have a nice gunbelt, it makes all the difference. I really like my Big Foot Gun Belt.

I've got a Carhartt belt or something, but have been looking at others. If I need to I'll have no problem upgrading. I used to not think about that sort of stuff until about 4 months ago when I was in the position of being the only guy to render assistance to someone who was being attacked by a meth head; and that gives you a reality check in one quick hurry. Now I prioritize that sort of stuff, for sure.

It was. You know it's gonna be an interesting morning when you're eating breakfast at the local cafe w/your family and the cooks start yelling at each other with one asking the other which *KNIFE* he wants to use in order to fight each other.

What got me was that I was the *only* one to render assistance. Granted, I didn't do much; basically put the attacker in a full nelson until he got coldcocked and calmed down, but it taught me to not expect backup/assistance from anyone, and be ready to act.

How new is this option? I bought 2 Aliengear IWB holsters few years back, and can't stand them. In fact, I have yet to find IWB that I like. After going through probably close to 10 IWB holsters by now, I just use OWB

Whatever this forum told me to do
    that's an honest answer...

none of them are great. they all come with a certain discomfort.

and you HAVE to get your pants one size larger. this improves whatever comfort is available.

and how does one carry appendix style....do you sit - or drive?

I'd prefer one of those African safari type lanyard hanging things, but I guess society frowns up that.

I have a Tulster I pair with a blue alpha gear belt for my daily. Although, my daily is a p938 which is a little smaller. I've been very happy with the combo. I didn't like ANY IWB holster until I decided to buy a good belt, made all the difference for me.

I am not 100% but i would say its relatively new. In any case, its seriously comfortable and I am not a super skinny guy with a pencil type body. I honestly cant see any way to improve it. It even comes standard with up and down adjustment if you want it to sit further down or up in your pants.

I'm lucky here - I've dropped about 35# in the last 3 months, so it does the same thing. LOL As such, I can now (more easily) fit an IWB holster.

Only drawback to the shapeshift is they don't offer anything with lights or laser attachments... Only the naked gun. But it is by far the most comfortable and secure setup for all the carry locations. I carry IWB and Appendix depending on which firearm.

I added “the claw” to help with printing against my shirt… now that I have done that I won’t go back without one….

Me neither, (at least not for my edc) but I recently added a light and rmr on my g17 (OWB) and I found that I couldn't use the Shapeshift until after I mounted the attachments, assuming I'd be able to just order the shell for the new configuration... Not possible. I ordered their Cloak series for that firearm. It works but meh, because I am spoiled from the Shapeshift being so perfect.

    Same.

I appendix carry a Hellcat OSP, and adding the claw attachment helped immensely with my printing.

Kore essentials as mentioned above makes my favorite carry belt as well it’s a ratchet style belt that lets your adjust the belt to you.
