Just yesterday, my radio display went black, but, the radio still works. Although, the only thing that will work as of now is my Bluetooth, I assume since that's what it was set on when it went black. Tried disconnecting battery, checked fuses, even tried a hard reboot. I never knew I had a "screen off" setting, but not sure if that's the problem, because I cant see the screen to access the settings.

Sounds possible that the screen failed. Do you live where it’s hot and park in the sun?

Is it touch screen? If so, does it change when you touch it even with the black screen? If it does then your screen backlight could have failed.

There is a screen off function on my HU although its a 2017. However, any mode change on the side buttons will turn it back on.

Yes, I live in Texas!! So, very hot. And yes, when I touch the screen, I can hear the beeping sound of icons being pressed.

Do you know if that's repairable or not? I haven't found anything on the internet yet.

I don’t think it is. It could be the backlight itself or the controller. But before you spend money, see if anyone has other opinions. It could be something else.

Look thru these and you may find a solution..

    https://www.google.com/search?q=ent...ome..69i57.10753j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

One guy said his SD card was bad and it caused this error.
Make sure you don't have anything plugged into the USB or AUX port and restart.
Another said if you hold down the AUDIO button, the unit will reset.

I remember when I had the Entune there was a dark screen setting and you had to touch the screen in a certain place to get it back on.
I just don't remember where you had to touch it..

If you don't get it fixed, it's time for an after market HU and a Maestro for the steering wheel controls.
Way better than the Entune anyway.

I'm going to try a few things that you suggested. Hopefully one of them works. If not, Looks like I will purchasing a new HU. Any, not crazy expensive, units you can suggest?

What is your budget and what options are you looking for in a new H/U?

I recently pulled the JBL out of my 2014 1794 Tundra to install a pioneer HU. It’s in perfect working condition. I could ship it to you. I’m not sure what a fair price would be, so if you are interested, make me an offer.
