Just bought 4 TRD offroad wheels off of a 2014 Tunny for 100 bucks. One of them has some pretty bad rash... Is this fixable or am I better off just grinding it smooth and refinishing over top?

Any chance to just buy another wheel ? That's what I would try especially with the deal you got on them.

Well after 2 min on ebay that may be a hard find to just buy one.

Just grinding it will throw off the balance. I’d say it’s toast.

I figured if it was fucked 100 bucks for 3 wheels was still a good deal

You’ll spend as much on the repair as you will finding another used one in good shape.

The guy said he'd been driving on it for a year or so... I'm wondering if I could just take it in see if it balances and paint over it...

A good wheel repair shop can take care of that for $75-150 around me

That's probably what a single wheel goes for, but I'd say it's harder to find a single wheel versus going to a shop

My neighbors curb checked their Escalade and for the past 6 months I get to hear an air compressor inflate the tire every am cause it doesn’t hold air. don’t be that neighbor.

@silverhack is looking to sell one. Maybe you can still come out good even after shipping?

I did very similar damage to that to a 20 inch rim on my challenger RT. My local body shop sent it out for repair for a couple hundred and when it came back you could never tell anything happened. The refinishing shop also re-balanced and the car drives exactly like it did before.

That was more expensive than normal because I use an expensive body shop that ships it off site to have it done and they're painted black. You could probably get that fixed directly by a wheel shop for a price that would still make total out of pocket costs a steal.
