With all due respect, I'm not going to waste my time debating you about what vehicles are on my list of potential tow vehicles. I'm just here to research a 2022 Tundra with the highest payload. Again, no offense but I would very much prefer if this thread does not go off the rails.

Well the trdpro is supposed to have 1600 payload, I'm starting to doubt that

Your looking at some great trucks, but I don’t think 1/2 ton is what u need. Pulling a TT without Any issue go up to 3/4 ton, u won’t be sorry

Here’s a video where he states his tundra is 1400lbs on the door sticker for payload. This guy has 2 longer video reviews of the 2022 up that are worth a watch.

I'm still hunting unicorns. No 1600 or more payloads to be found as of yet.

    I know I am late to the party . . .

Please do not get an electric truck if you plan on towing a travel trailer unless you never plan on towing more than 75 miles. And then when you get there you don't plan on driving anywhere until the 30 amp connection at your camp site trickle charges your truck for 12 hours. Assuming the camp site even has hookups, many of the ones I go to do not.

I don't know where you live but towing a travel trailer at freeway speeds will devastate the electric trucks range. I have had to tow mine into a 20-30 mph headwind before and averaged 6.4 MPG over 9 hours going for SD to UT. There has been days where my 36 gallon tank felt small.

The only GM half ton I would consider for towing a TT at this point is a 3.0 Duramax. GM no longer offers an extend range tank so their gas engines only get a 24 gallon tank I believe. It you were getting 7-8 mpg in bad conditions with a 24 gallon tank you would need to be looking for gas every 125-150 miles assuming you are not willing to completely drain the tank. The diesel would be ok because it would get 30% better mileage so the smaller tank wouldnt feel so small.

With all due respect, I'm not going to spend any time discussing the suitability of the vehicles that are on my list of potential tow vehicles. I'm just here to research a 2022 Tundra with the highest payload. Again, no offense but I would very much prefer this thread stick closely to my original question.

Then don't bring it up in the first post. Just offering advice so you can narrow down your suitable rigs.

Edited my OP. I appreciate your wanting to help but I created this thread simply to help me find an actual truck that has the actual payload I feel that I need. If I can't, then I'll be scratching the Tundra off my list. That's all.

Haven’t seen anyone with a payload greater than 1500 lbs yet.
