Man... 400 dollars. That's hard to beat. Especially not having to worry about screwing up your own lights. So budget... Obviously the acme brand is priced less. What do you give up going with them over the morimoto projectors? How do they compare to the morimoto brand?

Acme is a pretty decent company. The quality and thought put into their products isn't as good as Morimoto's, but its good enough! The output of both projectors compares fairly with Morimotos projectors. Though brightness, width and distance isn't the same, the output is still great! Comparable to most stock HID projectors like those in Ford and GM vehicles (mustang, F150 Denali series etc) and in most cases, slightly better.

Look at it this way, Morimoto products will give you light output up to 10 times brighter than stock. Going with the Acme, it will be about 4-5 times brighter than stock. Still a HUGE upgrade over stock!

If anyone was considering going with Spyder headlights for a different look and an expectation of better lighting, this is all you. This is a much better option in my opinion.

Yes this is definitely a much better option. Not to knock Spyder's headlights, they look great but use terrible projectors. An upgrade is suppose to improve the function of whatever your upgrading. Spyder lights simply do not provide that. If they used a decent quality HID projector and HID kit, they would be great headlights. Though cost would be about 3 times more than what they are currently priced at.

Since the Shrouds actually cover the Projectors, the final product will look the same as all of the other retrofits. Of course, the style depends on which Shrouds you choose and what color scheme you decide to go with.

just had a set done for my build and they look great. also picked up a set of fogs from ele. you could not ask for a nicer guy to deal with. period. my lights were my stock 08 lights that he polished up to as new for me. don't mess around with spyder junk when this option is customizeable, quality and the vendor is super easy to work with. thanks man!

They are plug and play, just have to take the grill off to get the lights off, and then reverse to get it all back on.

Heres a sample of the D2S Budget retrofit with Halos and Custom LED. So basically the final product will look similar depending on your options and color schemes.

Since this is D2S budget , is it true that exact lights will cost $400?

    Thanks .

Yes $400 plus shipping. The lights above with halos and led strip costs $590 total. Here's a breakdown of the costs.

    Budget D2S system = $400
    Led strip = $70
    Halo = $70
Plug n play harness for leds $50

Since the Acme projector is $40. The NEW Mini D2S 4.0 is $140. Can I substitute the Acme for the D2S 4.0 for the total price of $500?

The main reason is because the Acme is substandard with 6 months warranty while the D2S 4.0 is one of the best (for budget build) and its 3 years warranty.

    Thanks.

3in Level, Bilstein Shocks, 33x18x9.5 M/T's, murdered out and debadged, LED's all around, and some other stuff I can't think of
what's the price for a set of what is in your prof pic? I'm in the process of murdering out the rig and these would really make it look pretty solid.
