    • Followed a guy's post on another tundra site and upgraded my intercooler on my Magnuson. Here's his post:

    • "Installed a monster sized intercooler heat exchanger Type 101 from frozenboost.com. The core size of the stock one is 18"x12"x1" and this thing is 24"x7"x3.5", so it is almost triple in overall size. I barely managed to fit it in there, all while keeping the stock heat exchanger as well, so in essence I quadrupled the cooling fin area. The fluid first passes through the stock dual pass HE, and then through the new one, which is also dual pass. I have been monitoring the intercooler fluid temps for a couple of years now with a sensor mounted in the oversized coolant tank I am running. While cruising, the temps post S/C were usually around 40-50 degrees F above ambient temperatures these days, without using the Killer Chiller. After installing this upgrade, I am seeing 15-20 degrees above ambient under the same conditions! This is at the hottest point in the system, right after the fluid exits the supercharger intercooler, so I am quite impressed. Nice mod for around $200 for the part and fittings."
I can confirm my idle and cruising temp is around 8 degrees colder and at WOT then releasing the throttle shows almost a 20 degree drop temperature.

can You confirm the amount of fittings needed? I see the pic where you have five of each but the installed pic looks like only two of each is needed?

    Hey there,

Thanks for sharing. Where do I go about finding the tube and fittings. What size is the tube? Thank you.

    Tastefully enhanced...
Any verdict on this addition? Did it lower AI temps...aka...increase power in a sense?

Bringing back from dead. Observe lower intake temps?
