I don’t have pics or write up, but I’ve removed mine before.
It was pretty easy, as I recall I just unscrewed everything attached through it, handles, lights, etc, the upper front seatbelt mounts, pull the pillar covers off, carefully work it out, and try not to bend it. The dome light wire may have been taped to it, or the roof, I don’t remember, but just watch as you go and it’s pretty straight forward.

Bringing this back up as I have a leaking windshield and would like to pull headliner to see if any rust repair is needed

Anyone have any tips? I’ve done this before on a jeep cherokee, easy enough, straight forward but the cherokee has a cult following, I knew where the hidden clips where, and how to unlatch them — only broke 1 and it was repairable

This info would be great for a 1st gen access cab, a 2000 in my case — a picture of the clips under the plastic trim moulding and info on how to release them will save headaches

    thanks
