    Yes, and no.

I'm about to do wheel/hub bearings on a 190K Mile F250. Timken bearings (Made iN USA) are about $400 for the front end, w me doing the work. Chinese sourced bearings are $150 +/- $50, just for the parts. The Made in China parts are shiite. It's certainly not limited to Ford though....

My mother’s flex had the water pump fail. Talk about a dumb design. I managed to replace it and avoid issues, but stupid setup. They can’t say it’s because they can’t fit an external pump. The Toyota 3.5 in my Avalon looks very similar internally to the ford, yet it has an external pump I can change in 3 hours (albeit tight).

I got most of my experience repairing my wife’s car. Normal Honda Civic, nothing special. However, our car repair shops wanted me to pay the bills as for limousine repairs) Through trial and error, I became brother parts at honda.autopartsfull.com and install in your garage. I immediately drop China's parts and private part's ads. So far, everything is going fine. As for the tundra, there is much more stringent operation. Anything more difficult to change the oil is given to a familiar mechanic.

Pretty misleading headline on the video. Has nothing to do with inexpensive parts....everything to do with stupid design.
