My brother has one for his 3/4 ton in Montana. After two totaled trucks from hail, he purchased one of these.

In a state of panic, I grabbed an area rug and tossed it fuzzy size down on my truck in a golf ball sized hail storm. It worked flawlessly until the wind shifted it a little. I ended up with a few dents where it was exposed, but the area rug saved it from being totaled.

I use moving blankets. 2-3 layers is enough.

I totally see this preventing hail damage but my luck I'd be driving when it started. Also what's it do to the paint sliding it's on and off?

Seems to offer impressive protection for the price. If you don’t have the option of parking under a carport or something this looks to be a really affordable solution.

That's what I've done, of course any time I do it, there will be No Hail as predicted, haha.

I do something most Americans don't seem to do, and I actually park my vehicles in my garage. Most of my neighbors opt to have their garage completely full of junk and park outside.

How much time does it require to set up this thing? We don't always get a warning about hail here in Tennessee. It does look like a neat product though and based on the video I'd say it works.

I know here in the DFW area, even though the average vehicle is a full size pick up, most garages aren't big enough to fit the truck.... makes 0 sense to me coming from Arizona where every house had a good size garage with space for storage too

Cheap ass builders. My Dad had the same issue when he lived in Burleson, TX. I've noticed most newer homes have tiny "two car" garages. My house was built in 91 and has a huge garage.

I too keep my vehicles in the garage when not in use. The Tundra spends the winters under Live Oak trees and risks being smashed by branches during high winds if parked under the protection of the tree. If conditions are forecast that make hail unlikely the truck sits in the middle of the field away from trees.
