    I have a 05' Limited, dbl/crew cab 4.7l ....no stabilizer control

The master is leaking into the brake booster.. there is a "extra part" that I cannot find anywhere.

The configuration I have is like the picture (see below) of which typically goes on an 04 Tundra.. it's the assembly on the left side of the master cylinder-lighter colored part... a "slave" cylinder??? No one sells that part..that I can find.

I have the component on the right the side... of which is called the master cylinder per ordered part description... which does not include the left side component.

Evidently Toyota made a few of these 05's with the 04 master cylinder parts pictured.

    Cardone doesn't have any rebuilds.
Called about 10 other major parts companies, Rock Auto, PartsGeeks, etc... nada

This part number is 11-3300... but my service advisor say this is the master only.... not the other part as shown...

Part number 47210L ...is what the dealership has for the entire brake system (master and booster) replacement part number.

Dealership wants 5K to replace the master and brake booster.. $3800.00 for this configuration alone... yeah.. googled it and others are showing similar prices....as Toyota only sells the entire assembly.. not parts/components.

at 430K miles... the truck is not worth 5K.. to me it's priceless.

Summit Racing has led me on for over a week saying they can get the part... and didn't deliver. That's another story.

Anyone have ideas for a cheaper option as I'm out of time.. and don't have time to search for a pick n pull part in the Ft. Worth, Tx area. I'm in a dealership rental for 10 days now trying for a cheaper alternative.... ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

See if a newer year sells the piece you need with slight or no configuration changes..

The unit shown is the master only, and if it's leaking there would be no reason to replace the booster unless something else happened, but I doubt it. I looked at Rock Auto for a while and did not see that configuration. How about a picture of the one that is actually in the truck. Also, if all else fails take it to a hydraulic build shop and have them put some new O-rings in it. Or DIY. It's not a nuclear reactor. The reason I'm not in the business no more, rip off.

Or just man up and go old school. Delete power brakes. Manual style. Give them legs a work out.

If you'll shoot me your VIN, I can look up the OEM part for you. It'll be expensive, but not quite as expensive as your local dealer.

If you have a decent local hydraulic shop, they may be able to rebuild it for you as well. I've had some really weird off the wall auto and motorcycle stuff done this way in the past. Something to consider.

My 06 had that same assembly on it before I removed my abs and I’m not aware of anyone who makes the front distribution block. I’d try reusing the stock one with the new master cylinder.

Your truck probably has that electronic brake thingy magigy I read about, or fancy ABS. You can always go old school and put in a regular master cylinder and forget all the fancy stuff. The most important part you want to pay attention to when swapping brake masters is the rod inside and how deep it sits in back of the master. It's adjustable for a reason. You might not have to mess with it, but measure and make sure the new master has the same depth as the old one.

The part you are referring is between the master cylinder and the brake booster? It also has ONE line from the master going in and the rear brakes connecting on the output? I had an issue with a customer about this before..... Toyota or No one sells it by itself...( at least I haven’t found yet) that part comes as a complete set from Toyota (dunno why)
In the attachment I scanned the Toyota part numbers (47210L)

Yes.. I have that part assy dwg as well.

Hydraulic parts/rebuild house said it had oddball gaskets.. so that idea was out.

I have picked up a salvage part assy from a '05 w/ 135K miles on it.
    That will go on tomorrow.

I'll have my assy rebuilt as a back up.

It cost me a week of rental for ordering, delivery, scheduling in the dealership workflow.

It was in a yard 4.5 hours away.

Didn't want to go that route, but had to as this is a "Unicorn" configuration.

Thanks to all for your inputs.

I'm having the exact same issue as OP, same year and model. Was waiting on cardon 11-3300 from summit on an overnight delivery as I'm stuck in a rural town 300 miles from home...never showed up. I know that the cardone 11-3300 includes the balancer part that bolts to the booster as I replaced it 8 months ago and it's leaking into the booster again. Hopefully another attempt from advance Auto should be here in the morning. And if not maybe open to see if it can be repaired with new seals.

I wouldn't be too excited as "I" waited 10 days and NOTHING showed up even when they (Summit-Cordone) said one was on the way...11 days later. Totally useless of a company in my book of experience.

Cost me $350.00 in rental fees for a broken promise... NEVER will I do business w Cordone-Summit again... Period. The 11-3300 (extra assy) was not part of any assembly I ordered. It was the master cylinder only. There is no part number for the "Unicorn part" I had to order a whole master w/ the "Unicorn part" from a salvage yard.... have 20+ days rental fees for broken promises. 30 days in rental costs total.

New seals.. Waahhaaaaaaa.... A large hydraulic shop (35 years) said seals were an oddball diameter. O rings no problem. Seals.. Problem.

I would be sourcing a salvage yard part ASAP as I called EVERY rebuild-mater cylinder supply on the google searches... wrong configuration of master.... or no "unicorn part" supplied.. master cylinder only.

I sincerely hope it works better for you than it did me..

Keep us posted on the outcome.

I'm positive that the 11-3300 from cardone includes the unicorn part as I already had two delivered via summit racing 8 months ago.

Did u try dissembling the unicorn part at all?

Problem is cardone offers only 12$ for the core so there's no real incentive to return them. Which is the problem as they have zero cores to rebuild and sell.

Cardone also offers a service where u send your master in and it's rebuilt and returned. This service needs to go thru a retailer of cardone parts like advanced auto

Yep.. basically a coupla shafts, washer type seal.. When I talked to Summit a few 3 weeks ago, they told me it would be middle of March before they had any to send out. And that was after they said one was on the way .. then it wasn't on the way because they never received any cores to rebuild. I HATE liars. Yea still a little (lot) pissed at their business ethics. That's ok. I just voted w/my wallet n feet.. moved on.

I get it... no one had THAT configuration ( your pictured part) and I ordered from TWO different companies that said they had that exact part pictured.... I only received the master cylinder.. in both instances...not the Unicorn part pictured

Buyer beware...seriously.... start sourcing a salvage yard part... make them show a picture of the EXACT part as I had 2 yards say they had it.. and they didn't.. lying bastages...A-gain.

    Stats,

Not sure if this applies to your vehicle but it's worth looking into:

Toyota dealers will replace the brake master cylinder at no cost. Owners of the involved vehicles will be notified by late January. Earlier this week, Toyota announced a safety recall of some Corollas, Sequoias, Tundras and Lexus SC vehicles. About 65,000 vehicles, model year 2002 to 2005 are involved.Dec 15, 2018

Imagine how I'm feeling....stuck 300 miles from home in a motel for the second night with few options on getting this thing fixed. Summit is a reputable company....they're refunding me the full amount for the 11-3300 part that was installed 8months ago. Problem is that cardone has zero pieces to rebuild.
I also found just the master from centric and confirmed that it was just the front piece without the back unicorn balancer. The one I linked to from summit is both pieces for sure. Cardone is the only one to sell it complete

I did have the dealership install a "new" used salvage part, new booster (O'rileys auto part) and repair other brake warranty items.. and a new alternator. all saind n done.. 1K for rental, 1K for the alternator 800.00 for labor. yeah... 2800.00 vs 6 thousand for my total bill.... didn't talk about the alternator issue til now..

BQE... this whole mess started because the dealership wanted Five THOUSAND FRECKKIN' dollars to replace the master and booster.. it ONLY comes as a whole assy.

That can be an option..... I did have someone from this board offer to sell a new assy.. not 5k.. but never did need that option.

If you need that contact.. let me know... I'll look up the email. I'll have to search it though.

YEP... I'm with ya... will be pursuing it as well with this new intel of a recall.

I have to take the truck back as it's making a squealing noise now.. RPM related.. I hope it's not a bearing on sumpthin' else..

REALLLLLY don't want to buy a new truck as they don't make this configuration,.. 4 full doors w/ a longer bed.
430K miles on it... got my muuuuny's wurf' and to spend 50-55K to replace it. Uggggh. sticker shock.

My tipping point is if I have to spend 5K or more a year maintaining it. .. I'm almost there .... Thinking it's time to turn it.

Sorry to post to an old thread but...Gave up and sent mine to Cardone to get rebuilt through Oreilly's Auto Parts.

Summit racing did the same to me. Took my order and didn't say that the part was not actually in stock. They just kept bumping my order back. When I called they said, yep the next date show is the correct date. and then that day came and went and so on.

    my thread on this. https://www.tundras.com/threads/losing-brake-fluid.35583/
