I found a 2022 1794 with the TRD off-road. I cant for the life of me figure out if it will come with HUD or if will not. It does not have the advance package. Can anyone help me out that understands the options better than I do

Looks like it is part of the advanced package. It is the only way to have the HUD.

Probably better off without the HUD display. Less electronic stuff that won't go out.

Never understood the HUD on cars/trucks, its cool, but if you are going that fast that you need a HUD display, probably should be on a track.

Yep. from all of what I am seeing - I have to look at a platinum with the advanced package and power running boards vs. a 1794 with the TRD off road package.

Idk, the HUD was great for navigation in the Yukon rental I had. It's pretty handy if it's well done.

Can anyone post a site where can we see all the packages and what's included in them?

Yeah... Last I checked they don't have a list of packages with detailed descriptions or breakdowns of what's in each package.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Our SS has a HUD I really like that feature, and wish Toyota would offer it as a stand alone option.

    HUD > Digital gauges.

HUD display is awesome. Think my new truck has to have this feature for me to be happy.

The only reason I'm looking at Platinum vs Limited is the HUD and 12" main display.

Me too! I wish the platinum had the TRD off road package available though. Hopefully we can hear more about this capstone trim soon

With all due respect, it's not 1992 anymore. Old timer thinking. There are warranties for things like that. Parts are cheap and abundant. IF it breaks and you can't afford one then don't use it.

with all due respect, If you think parts are cheap and abundant for HUD display for brand new model then I hope your still within warranty period.

If you need HUD as a absolute must have then by all means, its your money. Is it a deal breaker for some not to have a HUD? probably not.

If you're worried about HUD breaking and having to pay for it, you're either cheap, broke, or poor. Period.

not worried at all, neither of any of the things you listed buddy.

some people don't have endless funds/money like you. Some people prefer not to have a HUD display. PERIOD. LOL.

Owner of a 2015 BMW X3 and a Army Helicopter pilot who flew with a HUD in the monacle with NVG's GPS map on the windshield in the car is a life saver in heavy traffic...IMO. The HUD is about Safety not speed. Once you learn how to use it, there is no taking your eyes off the road if the HUD is displayed correctly. And knowing toyota I think it will be mounted correctly.

Interesting that you have driven with HUD and didn’t like it. I really appreciate the car we have with one, much less distraction from the road.

    To each his own.
