Looking at this pic, if I didn't know better, I'd swear you worked in LV / structured cable / EE / other electrical by trade. That's some pretty clean stuff!

Got a hair of the dog onboard, but doing casual stuff today. The alt-s diode is working as advertised. I’m either good with these 1/2” bump stop spacers or 1/4” shy. I think I’m good, but a tape measure doesn’t always give the same feedback as a hit.

I’ve spent a fair amount of time considering control panel mounts and locations for Gen 1. I like overhead console. I really think a sheet of aluminum, 1 bend could be the best solution. (Cuts and drilling as well). I’ll have to mock that up. I did piece this mount together from 3 diff manufacturers. This could be cool.

It's great. Too fisheye to race backwards, but does give me a very good idea how close I am to something. I will likely disable that camera grid and use the receiver adjustable one to better visualize the corners of the truck. I never really needed one at level, now that I have rake - worth it. I used the Tailgate Masters after trying another. It's not as good as later OEM I see, but a damn good option for Gen 1

Ran a controller cable with a nasty square plug through a grommet that didn’t want any of it.

I’m not sure why most of the Switch-Pros install tutorials tap the engine bay fuse box and not driver kick under dash fuses. I’m wiring into the cab anyway….seems like a no brainer.

OK, first off, I swear from the other night that my 15 amp parking light fuse is at the bottom center. Maybe 2005 DC is just different layout.
Next, I'm guessing blue ignition is one of the power outlets? That's what I woulda used.
Last, man I hate those butt connectors as far as looks go. Wish there were a better way. Sure does get the job done though. Nice work. I'm antsy for mine, planning to use it for fog lights I think so I don't have to replace the stalk and deal with all that, and so I can use the 2 precious switch spots for seat heaters and/or camera.

I have never had a butt connector fail inside if I crimped it properly. If I can’t pull it out, it’s not going anywhere. Outside, I’m more particular. I used ign 1 and tail.
    Here’s a shot

    and everything works…

Yeah, our tails are different spots, interesting.

Butt connectors are very reliable. They just look ugly AF, right? Or is that just me?

For my truck, 25 is tail, hence bottom center. Good to know the layout is different, I might have foolishly attempted to follow yours blindly.

Of course it would help if I used the interior trim but I have a bunch removed to make wiring easier (zip tied my hood release to the harness for now, works fine, up and out of the way.)

I haven’t attached anything to it. Just turned it on, attached the app, changed the color of the display, tested all 8 circuits on/off, dimmer check, etc. so far it’s awesome. The wiring is minimal in the end before accessories. Slow and pro, take care of connections and cables. I’m a tad early to go all hurrah. But this shit is sweet.

yeah, my Tacoma is the same, all dressed up but nowhere to party. I'm going to do shell lighting off it for sure but beyond that, haven't decided.

For the FGT, aux reverse/rear fog, probably front fog, maybe a light bar just for the f of it, rock lights.

And I'll probably do the compressor and locker, that's 2 of the low power circuits right there.

I do wish it had 8 trigger inputs, would be nice to have massive flexibility on that, especially with boolean logic to enable/disable based on conditions.

They are ugly as fuck. Hide and wrap them. These are hidden and out of the weather.

I only look for clues on what wires to use, then I meter mine, regardless of what the sticker or anyone else says.

I’ll look for a wire porn pic :)

I wanted to get this in this week, I have 2 BD sets in the garage and a feeling the kids have something on the way. I have current plans for no less than two more outlets. Between me and @memario1214 , the rest are filled.

    Some recent adds.
    Finished Switch Pro install.
    Added BD Hitch Pod.
    Replaced rt side belt weatherstrips.
Wired some BD squadrons in bumper.
Took some of the high clearance out of the front bumper rather than cut out sheet metal and move wiper tank.

Lots of progress on your build since I last checked it out. Looks great. Have you had a chance to test the suspension much?

I can't say I've properly tested it. I've found some rough road (think fire road) and the big dips and bumps I know on my routes I hit hard. I have great confidence in the suspension and look forward to pushing it. I would love to say it's awesome, (I'm pretty sure the rear end is), but I can't make that claim yet. I think for what the front is - slightly better than stock travel, it's all going to prove to be very nice.

A little update. I need to go back and further cull my thread, lol. In the meantime. working on a skid plate noise reduction program - ongoing. Previous chrome delete sucks and going to Raptor Liner the mirror caps/covers and grille. 4 bump stops (up front, superbumps) is too much for me, pulled the forward ones for a total of 2, 1 each side. 3rd member is out and re-geared, added e-locker. Have to pick that up from the shop. They have an on board compressor there if I want it. I don't seem to have the money sitting here for a Diamondback Cover, but that is on the list. Switchpros is awesome, I recommend it, but it's pay to play on that one. I'm very close to running trails and having something informed to say.
