I bet you haven't heard this one before... New to me Tundra!

So after two long years of searching in a five hundred mile radius for the unicorn of Tundra's one popped up at the local dealer for 42K. Yep it is about 2K more than I wanted to pay but I'm tired of searching and my time has to be worth something.

SO without further to do:
I present to you a 2020 Tundra SR5 with 40k on the clock and a 38 gallon tank!!
Best of all it's white!!!

Greetings from Minnesota. Congrats on your find. My 2021 has 5,500 miles on it now. I park it over the winters up here. Minnesota goes crazy on salt application on the roads.

 

Damn. My 2021 has 132,000 miles on it. And about 133,000 scratches and dents.

 

Nice acquisition, I will say white is the only color that looks good with the chrome SR5 grille.

Oh, I've been here awhile (I don't post often), I traded in my 2011 Doublecab with 142k just because this is the last one that I would buy and it had everything I wanted.

 

Had to chime in with mine. Picked it up in Dallas two weeks ago.
2017 SR5 TRD Offroad w/ 38 gallon tank.
42k miles.
$34.5K - hell of a deal.
Had a 4th gen 4Runner w/ the 4.7 and 320K miles. I couldn't be happier with this rig.

 

They call that character. My truck has a lot of character too.

I know, people think they're Poodles, but they're not.

Quick explanation. I'm an old retired Canine Handler (Rottweiler). Hadn't had a dog in a few years (too painful losing them), so when the lovely wife came to me a couple of years ago saying she was ready to have a dog again I agreed to it under ONE CONDITION, ONLY IF IT WERE A ROTTWEILER!!
So a short time later she came home with a black hairball, and I said "That's NOT a Rottweiler!
Her "Yes it is. It's a very rare Rottweiler."
Me "No it isn't!"
Her "It's French Rottweiler"
Me "How do you know that's French Rottweiler?"
Her "Because if it sees a German Sheppard it rolls over and plays dead..."
OK, but thinking, well with some tan spray paint maybe I can make it look like a Rotty.
Then about three months later she came home with another one only in yellow.
Me once again "Now that's NOT A ROTTWEILER!"
Her "Oh yes it is and it's even a more rare Rottweiler."
Me "OK, I'm intrigued tell me more"
Her "This is an albino Rottweiler"

My life sucks...

It's a great feeling finding the low mileage 2.5 gens. I picked my 2014 up in Atlanta this past December. 1 owner, 4x4 limited with 63k miles on it, snatched it up as soon as it was posted for sale. $29K.

Nice, congratulations! got my 2020 with 89k for $29k. Driver Door had been opened too far abd had a dent from it hitting the mount. Also had a small dent and hole in back fender. I touched it up enough it's hardly noticed. It's a truck...

I bought this 2020 Platinum with less than 22,000 miles on it about 3 weeks ago. I'm not going to tell you what I paid for it but I'm delighted. Congratulations on an excellent purchase. Safe travels.

Hey @Busa, just curious here, what was it that made the 2020 special for you?

Lots of people look for a 2121 because it's the newest, or a 2018 because it's the last with a trans cooler, but not too many seem to zero in on 2020 specifically.

 

I would have probably gone with a 21 if one had come up, but I just have heard one too many "post covid" build problems. Not really a great reason but it worked for me

 

10-4, I have heard that too now that you mention it.

I happen to own a 2021, in addition to the 2016 I pictured above. I bought it certified used with 18K on the clock, and I soon realized it apparently came from the factory needing an alignment. Perhaps that is an example of the COVID hex? If so, hopefully it is the worst such example I encounter of the lifetime of the truck.
