There really aren't any tricks to it. A couple screws and pop a few dash pieces off and plug it in. Maybe 10 minutes of work at most.

So I jumped the truck and it shot up to 2,500 rmps and never backed down. I turned it off and restarted it and it went to 3k rpms and held. I disconnected the battery removed Hypertechs recalibrater started it it up and everything was back to normal. I guess I will contact them and get prepped for the old, take it in the tailpipe reply.

that's really strange, hopefully they help you out or refund you the calibrator if you decide you don't want it.

Check the build link in my signature.
I’ve had mine for over 5500 miles and no issues. Got it dialed in perfect.

The instructions I downloaded from their website (pdf) were step-by-step and perfectly easy to follow.

Did you ever figure out what happened? My Hypertech works fine, but now my remote start doesn't work.

I never reinstalled it. I had it for a year before I installed it so there was no warranty. I guess I got ripped off on that one.

Good to know. I believe I got my issue resolved, but still a little worrisome.
