    Hey Guys!

Since the cold winter temperatures have hit, I've been having issues where the inside of my windows are frosting up. I've checked my carpets and everything is dry. All my windows are closed so I don't think anything is coming in through them.

I don't drive my truck very often, but when I do I always run the heater on high to hopefully remove some of that moisture in the cab... but it always comes back!

Does anyone have experience with this issue? This is my first vehicle that this happens to.

Could happen if you drag snow into your truck on your shoes and mats stay wet. Could be just that it's humid where you live?

You should be running your heater with the defroster setting or running the air conditioner if you're trying to eliminate condensation or moisture. Warm air holds more moisture than cold air. Because of this, you want it to run through a condenser.

Does it smell musty or sweet in the cab?

Your AC is a big dehumidifier, use it.

    Welcome :canada:

New truck shouldn’t do that, make sure it’s not on the HVAC recirculate function. Is the air filter inside the glove box clogged with leaves? You check around the windshield, around the sunroof if you have one for leaks, UNDER the mats for moisture? After you check the filter, blast the cabin out with A/C while leaving a crack of window open. Close it up and if it happens again, take it in for a check under warranty. It shouldn’t be anything serious being 2018 but you never know.

A coworker of mine is having condensation issues on his 6-month-old 2018 as well. I'd definitely take it in and have them check for leaks. I thought I heard somewhere that the rails/tracks on the roof under the plastic sometimes aren't sealed properly, so you might want to check there.

you need to remember that warm air holds a lot more moisture than cold so when you have the heat blasting you'll gain moisture from the snow melting and evaporating as well as when passengers exhale. now you park your truck and the air inside starts to cool loosing it ability to hold all that moisture that was introduced thus creating the frost. the quick and easy way to remove that moisture before you park the truck is to open all your windows as you're driving and let the warm moist air get replaced with cool dry air. I usually do this for about 30 seconds just before I pull in the driveway

Thanks for all the responses! When I run the heat ill try it with the AC function and I'll also try the window trick before I park.

I don't think the cabin filter would be full of junk as the truck only has 5000 ish miles where 1700 of those happened during the holidays. I'll still pull it once it warms up to see if its humid though.

@BuckWallace If you hear anything from him let me know!
