I am either going to roast in my oven or out on my weber kettle. Have not decided. This year I bought the whole bird, a 13lber, normally I get the turkey breast but they did not have any this year, only whole birds, no biggie.

I don't brine mine, just rub a stick of butter all over and under the skin, hit with some salt and pepper and into the oven.
Dressing gets cooked in its own pan.

I usually roast mine in the oven, stuffed with carrots, apples, celery, and onions and coated in a sage butter. I'm going to give the smoker a run this year.

Wife bought a 25lb going to have to roast it. Thought about trying to deep fry this year but not this bird.

I brine mine for a day or two and then roast it in a large roasting pan after it gets rubbed down with butter and seasoning (usually 18-20lbs). I fill the cavity with halved apples and onions and my wife makes a cornbread/cranberry stuffing that gets cooked separately. I’m hungry already...

I got one just under 14lbs, may put it in the fryer! Love fried turkey! Have not used the new fryer I got last year when the old one broke after about 8 years.

I'm working on turkey day this year, It sucks.

Last year I smoked it, then roasted it at the end to crisp the skin. It was the best bird I've had and the Smokey gravy was a nice touch. I always brine whole birds overnight.

I don't have a clue on how to make a turkey. I've never had to make one. I always make all the sides. This year I'm having dinner with my ex inlaws (NOT exhusband and his new brood) and I was asked to bring my sweet potato souffle that everyone seems to love. And I think I'll make some made from scratch dinner rolls.

Just better make sure that bird is dry, no water anywhere or it will be “fun” trying to get it in the oil. Have a fire extinguisher handy too.

I'm on my 2nd electric fryer and it does not have to be as dry as it does with the propane ones.

Roasted in the oven in a brown-in-bag. Comes out really juicy, and no fryer oil to dispose of.
My in-laws made turkey for us once...never again! They did it the old-fashioned way...cut up the raw bird, boiled it in water with onions, and the into the oven to brown. Shoe leather would have been better (and juicier)!
