I also do two daily sets of...

    110 jump rope
    40 push ups
    35 jumping jacks
    Barbell exercises
    14 power jumps
    Stretches
    Ab work

I started much easier than all that but I increase stuff every 3 weeks.

I don’t drink soda pop and I quit drinking booze when I started this early October.

I have avoided restaurants and try to eat reasonably healthy.

I take a protein shake, multi vitamin, 4 aspirin, 4 ibuprofen each day

I’m 51 and the results are slow but sure. I am gaining muscle mass especially upper body. My very damaged lower left leg is smaller than my right and gets sore faster.

My goal is to be in very good shape and lose 10-15 lbs in the next 2-3 months.

Are you trying to pair it through the Bluetooth settings or through the Garmin Connect app?

That's your problem, open the Connect app, go to devices, then add a device.

So after running 730 miles in 2018 I decided to give myself a month off to try an experiment. Starting weight 12/5 was 185 lbs with the plan to hit 200 by New Years. I stopped logging my food intake for the first time in 4.5 years, stopped exercising, and stopped actively trying to hit my step goal.

As of this morning I'm at 198, my step goal has fallen from from about 12k/day to 6k. This is the heaviest I've been in 3 years. (The high blip in the beginning of the chart below is from when I donated bone marrow so I get a pass on IV fluid weight)

    Some observations:
    1. I feel terrible
    2. I'm tired all the time
    3. My clothes still fit
    4. I can't wait to start not being lazy again

I'm trying to come up with a good reason why I shouldn't run the 15 miles to my parents house.

I need to run a half before the end of March to complete my Kessel Run Challenge for RunDisney, and it's 53 degrees here which is crazy warm for February.

On the other hand 15 miles, the wind is gusting to 40mph, and it might rain...Plus the couch is super comfy.

Ankle weights are HORRIBLE for your knees. This might mean not mean much now, but as you age ...

    Great job exercising though!

Screenshot_20190522-214017_Fitbit.jpg That's with a 4.30 mile run this morning. I have the Fitbit Ionic. But you should be able to find one a lot cheaper. Mine was $250.
