I wasn't really going down the whole death path... more so, if you're having one of those days and you just need to 'tap out' of life temporarily....

I use self checkout as much as I can

Im getting too old to deal w/ the damn slow people who take like 5 mins to grab a item & scan it....and then bag it all up wrong

so i prefer to do it all myself; just wish that they would lift the damn need to have a store rep do a code and such for some products (like spray paint)

I don't like self checkouts, but I think they are useful if you have maybe 5 or so items or less, and you should ALWAYS have an option. Any more & it should be cashier check out. I hate the stores where they FORCE you to self checkout, like Lowes & Home Depot. I'll go way out of my way to use lumber or garden area to have a real person do it. It's total BS.

Our grocery store is sort of the opposite. They have a 25 item limit for self checkout. I hate doing self checkout with that many items but I've done it a couple times because both cashiers had huge lineups. Then the cashier who's standing around doing nothing-I mean overseeing self checkout gives me shit. Like it's my fault they're too cheap to have enough cashiers working.

Maybe I should have had a more accurate title. Life is too precious too promising and how some people took it was the furthest thing on my mind

Since it is partly associated with the grocery store, I would bet @hagrid has a Remarkable suggestion for a new thread title

Reading the first line of post 33 right after reading post 32 (what kinda weirdo reads threads in order, right?) has me cracking up.
