I have a 2005 Limited Access cab with 4wd, and was wondering if what gears i have? Because after an intake and an exhaust, it still seems like i dont have the stock gears ..

basically you just need to do the jack up and turn the wheel test.

Not sure what exactly is the question being asked here?

Your column shift should let you know if all your gears are operating. 1-2-D.

When in D (3rd gear), press your Overdrive button and watch to see if your RPM’s rise/fall with each push to confirm your 4th gear (OD) is working.

There’s got to be some website out there that you can feed you VIN to. That should give you a full spec sheet on the vehicle, to include rear gear ratio...

believe me, I've tried. My dad and I have identical trucks, aside from vin number of course. the Axle code tag is A03A on both of ours, and yet we have different axle ratios.

Hmmm...ok. A number of years ago I fed the VIN on a mystery Mustang to the guy at the Ford dealer’s parts counter; that might be another avenue to take.

You dont think you have factory gears? Should be either 3.91 or 4.10, there isnt a big difference between the two.

I think the confusing part is you mentioned intake and exhaust, those parts have no relationship with gears.

I know they have no relationship, i meant that even stock completely it seemed like it still had a lot of “go”. Then again its a light weight V8 so maybe thats why it seems like it hauls

Somewhere on here there's a post that you can put your vin # and it tells you everything about your truck. It's a Toyota link

Compared to other trucks from the same time period these are quick trucks from the factory. If it feels too fast you need bigger tires.
