Has anyone installed a hood scope light bar on the 2020 yet? When looking for them, Headlight revolutions say they are different on the 2020 and do not sell them. Would really like something that is made for the truck to make installation clean.

Have you figured anything out in this yet? I was also wondering the same thing.

I have one in mine. Depends on what you want. NSV is a direct fit but low output for the price. For the same price you can get the Baja Designs S8 40 inch but you will be doing some cutting of hood braces. The S8, SDHQ brackets, and harness will run you $1200.

Edit...the NSV will only get power when high beams are on.

NSV is the only one "designed" for the Tundra. The issues with the NSV are low output compared to the cost, and it has been rewired by the manufacturer to only work with high beams. Many of us go with the SDHQ brackets and the Baja Designs S8. Mine is installed differently compared to everyone else's and it's a much cleaner install IMO.

How do these affect the paint job over time?

Why would the light affect the paint?

actually, NSV does sell the light bar for 2020s now...it is the same bar but you have to buy the integrated switch found here: https://www.headlightrevolution.com/NSV-Hood-Mount-LED-Lightbar-System-Toyota-Tundra-14-20_2?quantity=1.

I've been considering it but don't like the fact it is wired to work when only high beams are used (I hardly use high beams) and since the recall on the turn signals, I've heard some grumbling it has affected the harness coming with the light bar...

If the housing, with road vibrations, contacts the paint? Haven't tried one of these, just asking.

No problem. As mentioned, the bar doesn't touch anything. I will take some pics this weekend since I'll be doing some minor adjustments on mine.

that's slick, how different is the light output? I can really use more lights at night in rural area, but its hard to know which one is worth buying.

The NSV is 9,000 lumens. The BD S8 is 25,400 lumens. :D

I have the NSV on mine and wouldnt recommend it

Easy to install but if I didnt get it form someone on here for 600 bucks I would have and wished I did go with something else.

Why wouldnt you recommend it? I am curious.

This thread came at a good time as I was seriously considering the NSV. I already dont like the fact it has to be wired with high beams. I feel like there should be a work around for this.

According to HR, there is no re-wiring to bypass the high beam requirement. He said that people were driving with them on and it forced them to rewire it. Not sure how they re-wired it since they didn't manufacture it. At the cost of a grand for 9,000 lumens, the only benefit to the NSV is plug and play and no cutting. For the same cost, the BD S8 is a much better bar at 25,400 lumens.

To be honest the only reason I wanted the NSV was because of the night rider mode. I had imagined looking at my truck with the night rider light motion and blasting the night rider theme.

Lol, I'm not even sure if the swipe function still works after the rewire.

Damn well I guess S8 it is. I know vividracing has a package deal too with their own similar brackets but I love me some SDHQ. Another thing on the black friday hopeful list.

I ordered the bar and brackets from SDHQ. I got the harness from Amazon because I wanted to get it and run it before the bar came in.

Surprisingly harbor freight has a really good (and long) wiring harness as well. It was a bit better in quality than the diode dynamics one that came with my 42" led bar.

Do you happen to have the part number or link to the harness. I looked on their website and only saw one.
