I’m not sure what these holes are
meant for but are there tie downs that work with them? Would be nice to have attachment points in the middle.

That might be for the OEM rail system that attaches underneath the top of bed rails.

Yep, it's for the rail system. Where are you located?

    So does that mean
Michigan. So if I just buy a rail system I should be able to install without drilling?

Well, I was born in Michigan but live inTexas. I was gonna say I might be able to hook you up.

I’ll look at my truck when I get back home but I’m 99% sure it’s for the racks. The racks should come with the pins to install. I’d get some tie down cleats too.

I looked it up. It’s only about $200. Any downside to the system? Does it get in the way of other things? I have a trifold cover on now.

Some bed covers require drop down brackets for the rails, but you loose alot of strength as the brackets are aluminum.

What trifold? You might need a relocate kit that brings the rails down so it doesn’t hit the trifold

You should have 5 or 6 holes on each side of the bed. It looks like they have been covered by the Line-X.

I like this option but have a question or two. My yet to be delivered SR5 4x4 CM is getting the factory sprayed bedliner. My guess is that no one masked off the bed bolts before spraying the bedliner. This would be a royal PITA to clean the bedliner material out of the torx recesses. Can anyone verify my suspicions?

Secondly, the paperwork from the dealer states this truck will have bedrails and a tailgate cap. Do any attachment fittings come included with the bedrails?

I'm trying to gather up as much needed odds and ends before the truck gets delivered

I have the factory sprayed liner. My bed bolts were sprayed over but the tailgate ones were removed first. What I thought was odd, and I’ve seen this on other trucks, is that the anchor points near the cab were sprayed but the ones by the tailgate were taped off. Can’t figure out the reason why they didn’t just spray them both.

That is odd. How many anchor points are available? Can get the 4 pack or the 10 pack and I like tiedowns. Bunches of them.

Just the four in the corners. This is what I’m talking about just in case anchor points isn’t the right term.

Are those standard? I'm also wondering about the bolts that secure the V rings Barrett50 mentioned.

Yeah those are standard. I use a bungee cargo net often so I need something in the middle to attach to.

To be clear, I don't believe the hole that is circled in the post above is a bed rail mounting hole. Not sure what those holes are for but there are no threads in that hole. It appears that the 6 holes (on a double cab there are 6, not sure on crewmax) on each bedside have been covered with the bedliner. (There are also 4 holes on the front of the bed.) You will likely need to use a punch and 6mmx1.00 tap to clean out the holes. You can then add D-rings or V-rings. I just did this myself, though the bolt locations were at least open in my case. More information in the link below.

You can see the unthreaded hole that you see next to the mounting locations in this picture:

    You are correct, kind of.
The hole in the OP's pic is a guide hole for a pin in the bed rail system, so it is somewhat a mounting hole.
It is bigger than the bolt holes and less likely to be covered with the spray liner.

I recently added the bed rails to my 2014 DC and it has a factory spray liner.
Although none of my bolt holes where covered..

You can see the guide pins in this pic..
So the OP is likely to have another hole just like it towards the front of the bed sidewall and one in the middle of the bed front wall.

The bed liner comes off easy with a razor blade, take your time and sure you can access torx. The D rings can be attached with these to the rail system 5D9D522C-A5C8-40F4-9160-B94443137D89.jpg

If your truck comes with the rails, it should have 4 of these HUGE adjustable tie downs
I couldn't use mine because of my bed cover so I sold them on the forum.

You can purchase more, or get something like this:
I bought these for mine but had to do a little bending to get them below my Flex bed cover..

Thanks for everyones help. I'm sure it will all come together in my head once I see the truck. Those fixtures remind me of my unistrut days. I was thinking the V rings from Amazon attached on the floor using the existing bed mount bolts.

These are super nice and stainless steel. The 2 different sizes looks like. Larger one would probably work on the bottom of the bed and the smaller one around the sides.

Anyone happen to know the torx size for the bed floor bolt? Wtv it is I don’t have it. Was thinking about adding one of those D rings for something.
