Seems that the receiver on my new Tundra is a bit "beefier" than most. Hooked my trailer up for the first time with new truck and tried several of my hitch pins and they were too short - couldn't connect locking mechanisms. Luckily found one that did work. Have others had similar experience? Any hitch pins people particularly like?

Yes, most of your pins are for a class III hitch. Wait until you try and fit a Class V hitch.

Perfectly normal. Just goes to show you how beafy your truck is.
