Hey all, new to the Tundra family. Long story short, neighbor spent over 70G on a new Ford 150 Platinum fully loaded and traded in his 2010 Tundra. Now I won't tell him of the nightmare stories I've heard about those Eccoboost, but atleast he didn't get an F250 and have to worry about the "Death Wobble".
I know my neighbor is OCD about his things and maintains them immaculately, so I spoke with the Dealer who were all close friends with neighbors family and was able to get this beauty for 16G with 145K on it. Knowing the previous owner and why he traded it in was huge!
Anyway, that's my story and I'm so pumped to have this beauty!
Thinking about taking off that skid plate and painting it a matte black. Thoughts?
Also gonna need new tires that'll work great year round in New England, guess I'll hit the tires forum for that.

Thanks! I love the color too. Previous owner is away on a tour to Afghanistan so I haven't had the chance to speak to him, but definately assuming it was repainted by looking at the absence of badges and location of emblems.
Wondering if anyone is familiar with the Unichip system. I believe he put it on there to calibrate the system for the K&N cold air intake.

Nice move! Sounds like thatt best case scenario for buying a used truck. It might not be repainted, just meticulously cared for and D badged and rebadged the way he wanted it.
