Ok, so I’m new to this whole lifting, backspacing, ride height, et. Al.

So, my latest mod was semi completed today. Icon stage 5 kit with add a leaf in the rear etc... I don’t have the tools to conduct such a modification in my garage, so I used a local shop for the first time. They seem to be good folks, and have good reviews so I took a leap of faith. It looks good, to me at least:54505D10-6F07-4286-98B5-5CA2742FAB25.jpg

They also stuck on the wheels and tires, which obviously is where I’m having the issue. The tires are 35 x 11.5 R 20, wheels are method something or another with -12 (I think) backspace.
    A855204D-7A06-44D1-8E37-826236E4DC52.jpg

The look is kid approved... daddy doesn’t like the small (read large) detail... I drove itt home to return tomorrow.. seems a little squirrely and the back end has a thump every now and then. The squirrely feeling I think is just 35s being 35s and something I haven’t been used to, but the knock in the back and the bed shaking is strange.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Knock in back of bed and shaking doesn’t sound like a tire issue. I would check out the suspension..

35’s aren’t “squirrelly” as well.. heavy yes.. but your tires look new so there should t be an issue there..

Definitely take a look under and check for any abnormal or loose parts imo.

from your photos it looks like loose tires & wheels in the bed..
    are they knocking around?

agreed this should not be squirrely, something is not right for sure.
keep us posted after you find the issue

Can you get us photos of inside the tire area near the UCA and skid? Did you have a cab mount chop done?

Also, sounds like your tire weights may be out of balance. Did they road force at all?

I’ll try to get a decent pic.. no cab mount chop. They appeared to believe there was a “new bar” across the cab side that wasn’t there before

I was wrong previously... I left the tires there with them. They took them out right after I took that picture

MOTO metal rims. positive offset of +12 at least is recommended. You probably need CMC front

Offset is too low and you’re rubbing your cab mount. Probably your front plastics too and possibly your skid plate.

Upper control arms are installed wrong. You will most likely need to do the CMC and trim the front plastics

There’s the rubbing. CMC will remove that from occurring.

How big of a process is this CMC, and does it affect warranty?

Fairly simple. There are some pics of the install on the forum. Shouldn't cost you too much to have it done either.

    Nice spot! TheBeast.
HybridGadwall Get some pics of the rear before it goes to the shop and maybe @TheBeast will see what's wrong there too.
The cab mount chop is no big deal and hard to even notice when done correctly.
