Need some help removing front parking sensors. Looked in YouTube and as always, they make it seem easier than what I have to go thru. I cannot get the sensors to unhook from the wires. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Powder coating? How are you going to get the sensors calibrated when you put them back on?

I took mine out and put them back. no calibrating at all, they work fine. Only my experience though. Others may be different. I did make sure they were put back exactly like they came out though.

I have em disabled anyway. So no worries at first. But will now be 3 weeks without driving my baby. I'm so sad right now :(

I'm having the same issue with my 17 Tundra. I'm trying to replace the rear bumper ends with chrome and I cannot get any of the connectors off from the parking sensors. Is there something I'm missing on getting these to release?

i used a pick to pry up on the tab on the connector. you can access it by pulling the sensor forward thru the hole. only learned this after breaking one of them installing my bumpershellz :annoyed:

I just did my bumpershellz today on the front. I Didn’t break the sensors and didn’t need to manhandle them either but since I reinstalled them one side just freaks out beeping all the time.

Lol In the whole scheme of things I really don’t care about them. It’s more annoying because my truck is only 6 months old and all I did was remove it and plug it back in and now it’s on the fritz.

Precisely why I got the truck with minimal bells and whistles. Don't need a bunch of crap that just creates more problems than it solves.

Perhaps, but I have LED Headlights and dont have parking sensors, but thats the Sport not OR. It might be a tech package upgrade for the parking sensors?

Yea live and learn I suppose. I also bought the off road then put 6112s and methods on anyway.I dunno what it is about these Toyota’s but I keep wanting to add and change stuff. I’ve owned new Fords and Chevys and never touched a thing. Had this 6 months and i can’t stay off of sparks parts lol

The shellz must be obstructing the sensor just a tiny bit. You probably need to shift it a little or push the sensor towards the front but I'd reach out to the vendor first. The sensors are pretty sensitive.
