Hey guys... so many choices to choose from each manufacturers has its own pros and cons. Prinsu, UpTop, and so much more. I am also planning on installing a 40” light bar. What do you guys recommend. Thank you all in advance.

The only advice I can give you is to go ahead and remove @Victory4x4 from that list.

What are you planning to use the rack for? (beyond a light bar)

How much weight? What are you putting in those cases?

    Cool beans.

Victory: Cons will be clear if you do a search on here.

Prinsu: Solid quality build. Works well for your use case. It's one of the most proven rack systems on Toyota. I personally have a Prinsu canopy TopRack and it's fantastic. Not a lot of cons other than they are pricy and add ons raise it up fast.

Spider No Drill: New player that is VERY promising but has questionable testing of higher weight loads in the rack. However the weight range you are talking about it shouldn't be an issue. Personally, I have reservations if you had 150+ lbs up there.

FrontRunner: This is a sold, flat platform rack. Highly functional, some people think it isn't as pretty as others. In my opinion, this is one of the most solid racks on the market.

    There are others...

Rhino Rack or Yakima both make very solid products as well.

This is not for a topper, correct? I have a Rhino Rack that mounts on my roof bars on my canopy. They make good stuff.

Keep the light bar behind your grille or down low somewhere. The wind noise will be obnoxiously loud.

For those with a Prinsu rack, can you post pictures of the factory satellite radio antenna area? Has the rack caused any issues with reception?

Hope this helps, I have not had any issues with my satellite radio. Not sure how the antenna is on the third gen 08C9EC8D-2CE1-4F75-A2E2-470E3367E2F6.jpg9A21B20D-B3D1-4A37-A330-F93FF2CD6AD9.jpg7DB91AB0-D1C4-4E43-8D7A-D35B4261CF7C.jpg

Thanks! It looks like the antenna does get covered up a bit. I'm curious if others have also not had issues with reception. This would be a deal breaker for me and I've read other models such as Tacomas may have reception interference with the Prinsu rack.

You’re welcome, I also have a light bar that covers it up some as well. Not sure if you plan on a light bar or just the rack.

I believe my light bar cable comes from the driver side and the satellite radio antenna is on the passenger side. Would probably need a pretty long cable

I had a Prinsu on my Tacoma. It was nice, with varying (fore to aft) cross bar mounting options. The Taco had threaded nut-serts under the black roof strips so it was no drilling required, I've not explored this on the Tundra yet. As far as sat radio antenna, the standard cross bars on Prinsu are 2"x1", with an optional 1"x1" square. I used the slimmer optional cross bar at the rear near the antenna, to allow more clearance and didn't note any interference.

THERE IS SOME WIND NOISE with this rack, with 6 slots on all sides on the 2"x1" cross bars. I bought a bulk roll of insulation material intended for use on home window A/C unit that fit in all the channels perfectly and did quiet the whistles down, some.
