I just bought a DV8 rear bumper for my 2010 SR5 Crewmax. It didn't come with any instructions and it seems nothing lines up. I called DV8 and they don't have instructions and are truly ZERO help. Anyone have experience with this and if so, I'd appreciate any tips or advice. TIA

Is it a 1 piece bumper? I didnt know they even made a rear. I know they have a 3 piece front bumper.

I would imagine its bolts in place where the factory bumper was mounted, probably not much more to it than that. Pictures would help.

You have to remove 2 or 3 of the bolts that hold the hitch receiver to the frame. The round hole on the bracket fits around the stub and weld from the round tube of the receiver tubing. The other end bolts to the bumper, two per side.
I removed my hitch receiver frame completely and had it sandblasted and powder coated, but there are somewhere like 12 bolts holding that thing onto the frame.

Having the same issue, but with 3rd Gen. So with dv8, you have to lose the hitch receiver, right?

No, receiver stays, the brackets go on the outside of the receiver mount. Remove the bolts through the receiver mount that are right near the cross pipe that the receiver is welded to. The hole in the bumper bracket fits over the end of that cross pipe and weld and the bolts go back in to hold it to the frame. Bumper gets mounted to the part sticking out.

Post pics. How much does that bumper weigh? Did you do the front too?

I swapped out the front and back bumpers. The instructions on each are terrible though. The final result, pretty cool.

Did you cover up the auxiliary reverse lights on the rear bumper?

Nice. Have you noticed the added weight when driving?

That’s the thing. The damn brackets for the bumper are the exact same size as the bracket for the hitch receiver. There’s no way to fit it over. Also, realizing that I’ll lose my bsm system when I install this.

0621191746_LI.jpg that is different then the mounts on mine must be a new version... did they not send the mounting plates to go around the hitch welded tube?

Looking into this bumper. Looks beefy as heck. In any case, were you able to mount it? Quality? How do like it? Pictures?
I know lots of questions, just worried that it might be a piece of junk like the last two I ordered.
