HK VP9SK vs Sig P365xl both in 9mm and basically same price. Thanks!

Don’t think you would regret either. I had a p30sk. Still have a p2000sk and my wife has the 365. Not the xl but it’s a breeze to conceal. Small for my hand so I bet the XL would be a good fit.

The XL feels like the same thickness of the regular P365 which is a little thin. I have a G19 and a Shield just kind of want to fill the gap so to speak.

HKs are cool but out of those two I would go with the Sig for the sole reason that it has a traditional mag release. The HK flappy paddle mag release throws me off. I have spent way to long pushing a button to change now. If you already shoot a Glock 19 why not get a Glock 48? Shield Arms makes flush fit 15 round mags for the G48.

I've got a Walther P22 with the same mag release and it's not a huge difference between my G19, instead of pressing the thumb you just drop it down. Actually if you do a slight twist of the wrist for reload the mag release will come with the motion.

I am by no means a skilled trained professional but this afternoon I did mag drop practices between my G19 and Walther P22 which has the European mag release and the transition was fairly seamless. But again I haven't put 1,000's of rounds between one or the other to have the cognitive memory.

I have shot many guns and the VP9 has the smoothest and best trigger imo. I own a VP9 myself and all my friends love it.

I won't mention the obvious as my title is SigAHolic however both are excellent firearms and a definite step above any standard glock. It's going to boil down to individual performance markers such as mag reload ease, trigger, and concealability and lastly shooter accuracy and comfort. Shoot them both.
