Been having this issue for a month or so now.

See the attached video and hear the squeaking towards the end. It sounds like a vent or something opening/closing and it sounds like its coming from behind the steering wheel. Happens most times on a cold start and at random intervals when I am running the AC. Has happened once or twice when I am not running the AC, but definitely less frequent.

    Any thoughts?

Do you have dual climate control? If so, it could be the air mix servo (I doubt that's the correct name) under the dash. If that's the case, from what I've read, they are difficult to get at.

    I do have dual zone!

Do you happen to have a link for where you found that part/issue?

Can the sound be replicated by switching from fresh air to recirculate mode?

Nope, that doesn’t do it. Thanks for the idea though.

Unfortunately, no. I'm fairly sure it was over on TT and not here. That being said, your noise issue is coming from the same area that the air mixer is located (the blower is under the passenger side and is very easy to replace). My air mixer makes a very slight grinding noise every so often. I'm hoping it will blow up while it's under warranty.
