6 in lift kit on a 2wd. Done by previous owner. Don't blame me.
So I bought this truck because it was a great deal. I have a couple of issues that I need resolved. First, is there a way for me to know if the gears were changed out? (truck has 6 in lift with 35's)
Second, because of the lift and it being a 2x4, the driveshaft, looks like they fabricated a bracket for the center bearing dropping it 2 inches and 2 inches back with a slight angle from the original bracket location. When the truck is on a flat surface I can see that the front yoke is not all the way in, about 2 inches out. Will this be a problem or is there a solution to this? Sorry, I have always had toyotas but this is my first truck so I'm not knowledgeable in this area.

Could use gps v dash speed to find if gear was change, have no idea for drive shaft tho

Weird about that driveshaft. They should've been able to just drop the carrier bearing without moving it forward or backward.

I'd start by removing the 6 inch lift ASAP.

I would spend a lot more on removing the lift and having to replace everything than fixing the problem.

unfortunately no, I wasn't really aware there was another option. seems like a quality piece from some quick searching, Wheeler's off road plus other sites offer it, so don't see an issue running that instead if the drive line bolt pattern matches.
Even though the coachbuilder option is a bit higher in price, recommended it based on his great reputation for quality parts and personally running some of his other stuff in the past.
