    My name is Jason Lee.

New member. I own a 2013 Tundra Crewmax and I love it.

    I do have a question.

I would like to change the setting so my doors do not automatically unlock when I put it in park. I work in outside sales and am not always in the safest places. I looked in my owners manual and since I do not have the fancy touch screen stereo it says I need to contact the dealer. I am sure there is a sequence of steps to fix change it that I am capable of doing. I also looked on youtube but found nothing.

Does anyone know how to do this or have any ideas of where to go? I would really rather not have to pay someone to do it for me.

Thank you in advance for your help.

P.S. Yes that is a homemade bed cover but it was not expensive, it's watertight, and it locks.

    Sincerely : Jason

My dad and I made the bed cover to transport stuff from Washington State to California. It rained on me the entire trip back and finally Stopped on the second day at about Stockton CA. So I drove about 1500mi in the rain. Plus it was not painted in White roof sealant yet. When I got home there was some water that got in but VERY little. Now no water gets in and I can haul stuff on top too. It clamps to the inside of the bed with 6 turnbuckles. I love being able to lock the bed of the truck and know what's in it is safe. And All it cost me was the 6 turnbuckles and some window insulation. My dad had the rest. Oh and a can of roof sealant when I got home.

    Thanks for your comment.
about the broad strokes. Yep, and it didn't help that the roof sealant was quite thick and I used OSB plywood for the top. But it works

We have a lot of "do it your selfers" here. Maybe you can post a few close up pics and a run down on all the materials you used:thumbsup:

Welcome aboard! I would guess you could change a setting with Techstream. Or just ask the dealer if they could.
