I’m on my 3rd beloved Tundra!, (current is 2020) all 5.7’s and 4x4’s and they have never let me down.
I haven’t down much in the way of mod’s but I plan to this time around. It’s a dual purpose truck for me. I’m a contractor so I haul tools and materials and for fun 4-wheelers and dirt bikes. I want to add some exploration trips as well. Also, I have a travel trailer. So she gets plenty of use.
First addition was the racks, then the running boards that are wheel to wheel to allow easy access to the front rack then actually the first upgrade was the tow mirrors. This is a must have. The dealer let me swap them from my last truck to this truck. If you don’t have the bigger tow mirrors then you are missing out. I love them.
Oh, I have the TRD intake, I love it! This I swapped from last truck as well.

    My future plans;
-Dual exhaust, I’m thinking Borla touring edition
-3 inch lift? Just enough for 35’s, appreciate any input
-which means tires with an offset rim, so they’re out just an inch tor two
-I carry 7-800 lbs of tools everyday, so I need to beef up my rear suspension so when I load 4 wheelers/dirt bikes it doesn’t squat.
-front bumper with winch but somewhat low profile style, nothing huge.

    welcome from Ridgeville/Summerville, SC.
With my new garage I went back to stock mirror, wasn't worth the fold in every time. I want to look into power fold but not that simple or cheap.

Thank you all! Glad to see I have a few from the neighborhood on here! Let me see if I can figure out how to ask a few questions and make some comments in regards to some of your trucks.

Nice truck! The 3 inch lift, is it a spacer up front and a block under the springs in the back? I want to keep my lift somewhat simple without getting carried away and rebuilding my suspension, yet I need to be mindful of durability with carrying a load everyday, travel trailer and occasional off-road.

Nice truck as well! Looks like you have power steps? Nice touch, I understand being able to fit in the garage and the mirrors, my truck is 6 inches too long to even fit in mine. I’ve been pondering over the idea of a carport as I have a huge Live Oak in my front yard that I have a love/hate relationship with, I love how it looks and the shade but, man does she dump some leaves and such. I trim the heck out of the limbs over the driveway but still....its a never ending battle.

I'm using the TRD Pro shocks up front with give 2" of lift. I'm also using Coachbuilder shims (2 per side) for an extra inch, then added a custom collar from Wescott Designs for a little over 3" total in the front. The rear is just Coachbuilder +3 shackles along with the TRD Pro shocks.

Live oaks will make you buy the house and sell the house. Here's a random pic I still have of our last place, and live oaks were 100% part of why we moved.

Thanks for the pictures Paul in Arizona and Tom in Ridgeville !
I’ve been reading up on the Coachbuilder shackles, I will probably go that route.
Zero One, I’m guessing you’re local as well since you offered to meet up to show me your set up. I will try and shoot you a pm.
I don’t care for the decked system, I had it on my last truck, the drawers don’t pull out enough to access the back of them.

John in Monks Corner nice truck as well! I haven’t seen lights? in the piece over the front bumper/just under the headlight. Did you add them in? I’ve looked at several pictures of Tundras only yours has them.

I’m going to see if I can post a video clip of my built in drawers. It’s 20 seconds long, it won’t let me post it. Maybe someone can chime in on how you do that.
