I’ve been reading all the posts on previous headliner replacements. I’m replacing a 2007 Tundra headliner. The part I’m missing is how to get it out without bending the liner up too bad and obviously putting it back in. I’ve done headliner replacements in cars and SUVs but I haven’t done a truck. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Haven't done this, but I wanted to and researched it enough to abandon the effort.

If you have the roll-down rear window (crew cab only), roll it down and pull the headliner through. If you don't, you have to remove the rear window and then replace it.

I bet taking out the rear seat would help too.

Taking out the rear window is not an easy task. On my first get it was glued and had screws on each corner to hold it while the glue dried. Removing it without damaging the rear window would be very hard.

I’m hoping that there are other options than removing the rear window. That’s what they had to do to my sons Chevy truck. I’d rather remove the door than removing the window. Thanks

Honest Question: Why can't the headliner be removed if the front seats are removed?

What I understand (haven't tried it myself) is that the headliner won't fit through the door opening without folding it, and folding it would ruin it.

Yikes. I had planned on tackling this on my son's 2007 Tundra.....but removing the rear window to do it???? Yowza.
