New poster here! Had something fly up and hit my headlight and bust it out. Should I try to replace 1 or go custom and replace both. If I replace both, what would you suggest and a new look for the truck. 2015 white tundra TRD
    Thanks
    Patrick

Lot of guys here like the Spyder headlights. Search for those and you can see some. They look good on white. And welcome to the site.

Check out @eledobleu, he does full retrofits and there's a large price range. They can be very affordable and light output is much better than spyders IMO

Personally, I was big on the Spyders (still like them) but recently converted to retros (love them). If your budget can afford it I say go with retros, you won't regret it.

You'll spend about 1/3 of the price on Spyders compared to retros. Especially if you don't have two good stock lights to include in the deal.

Haven't priced Spyders lately, but I'd say around $500 for the HID versions. Retros it all depends on what specs you go with ... Lower budget around $500 to higher budget over $1000. That's the beauty of retros, you can build them to your liking.

But then you'd need to install HID headlights and dining lights

Shipping cost is another issue regarding retros too ... For me that was around $125. But that's why I said if its within your budget. Is it costly? Sure it can be ... but for me well worth it.

Taking that into consideration, I'd suggest buying the Spyders. They would probably cost 1/3 the cost of good quality retros plus buying a set of used OEM headlamps and shipping.

But retros are so sick

Both are shown with the headlights off. Spyders with VLed switchback DRL's/turnsignals.

I think it's safe to say the average person isn't comfortable doing this themselves. I know I'm not and I consider myself relatively handy

What Ty said is true, you could do the work yourself which in itself could feel rewarding.

I didn't have the balls to do so .

After watching some YouTube asking questions and reading threads it really wasn't as hard as it looks. Splitting the lens is scary but other that than doing a little trimming with a Dremel there not much you really need to be profient at. Dialing in and adjusting is what took me the longest since I'm OCD. Maybe I'll split my oems and retrofit for someone

LED strips can be used as switchbacks so I know they can be amber. Don't know about them being able to be any other color. Green would be horrible for me as I'm red/green color blind.
