Hi everyone, I have a second gen 2011 Tundra with daytime running lights and recently ventured to remove the headlight assembly in order to reseal the headlights and remove the haze. However, after removing the 4 bulbs from their places (turning counterclockwise), i discovered a 5th harness on both assemblies that I could not remove turning counter-clockwise, and have tried nearly every strategy to remove them. Since parts of the harness were plastic I'm afraid that if i try to use vice grips or other hand tools to yank on it I will only damage them further. I am also unsure of what the harness powers, as i believed that I had already removed the low beams, high beams, turn signal and parking lights. I looked on for videos on youtube to no avail, as it appears that none of the videos that show the removal of the assemblies have the same harness as mine does.

Pinch the side tab in and pull. It’s probably just stuck in there

I'm having the same issue. Still can't find any videos about this and this is the first forum I've seen that discusses the issue.

It's the headlights adjustment motor. They are a PIA to remove. I had to pinch the tabs as hard as I could and use a small screw driver to pop em loose while trying not to drop the headlights. Fun times...

Again, thank you very much. I couldn't find any information on the subject elsewhere (I don't use the function anyway, so I'll probably leave it unplugged).
