Head Unit

Okay before I'm viscously attack, I did look at the, "Touch Screen head unit. Who's got what?" in the stereo forum. I did not see any 2020's mentioned. I have the entune with Sirius and Apple/Android. The only thing I don't have is power, and a sub. The sub doesn't really bother me that much, however, I would like to get some more volume. Do most on here just add an amp and speaker to the 2020? What have you guys done to improve this?

 

There is an amp installed already. Yeah the volume sucks for a $3500 radio. To add an aftermarket amp, you will need a harness and a line out converter, something like the Audio Control LC7i. There are a couple of threads on the LC7i in the audio section. I have a brand new one that I will be selling soon, along with the harness. I went a different route with mine.

 

Holy Shit! $3500?? I'm thinking of going with the Sony XAV-AX7000 I figure with 45w per channel, I can that and decent speakers for around $850

Out of curiosity what did you end up going with? And why?

Does anyone have the Sony XAV-AX7000? It sounds impressive for the price point, and Crutchfield gives it a great review. Also, what’s a decent speaker upgrade? I’ve been out of this market for a long time.

 

Lots of people on here ran the hertz k170 and k165 setup with jl amp.
