Any know of some kind of visor or shield I can get to shield some sunlight from my screen? My kenwood screen isn't quite as bright or clear as the OEM screen, and yes I have adjusted the settings. and the angle just isn't quite ideal on bright days, no matter what I change the angle to. Could I make one? I don't want it to look like shit though. What's that moldable plastic called? Kaydex? Something like that I think. Thanks

Is it the viewing angle, like is it better if you look at it straight on from the middle? On the Tesla units a plastic screen shield helps that.

You can test the theory by putting on polarized sunglasses, the effect will be more pronounced.

You can buy cut to fit sizes on eBay, maybe Amazon.

My head unit I put in i cant see the damn screen with my sunglasses on cause of the polarized lenses. Been searching for a screen to reverse it but I couldn't really find anything.

Ah, same as mine. If you have an old smartphone or tablet box that you kept the factory plastic shield or if the Kenwood came with it (the one you take off and throw away), put it back on, you might notice a difference. And if you do, buy a new aftermarket one.

Edit: Thought I was replying to Sean, ya just look for an old plastic one to test

Ya, its fn 2019 and they dont have a fix for this?? Well I was gonna go with the more expensive one with the capacitive touch or whatever you call it, but I didnt feel like spending over 1000 for my head unit. And I think that one would have been fine.

I bought a Rav4 vehicle sun visor on Amazon that works. It is a 24cm/9.45" plastic visor that is designed to mount on the gps screen on the Rav4. I mounted it to my 2011 Tundra and it works fine. You have to have it off center to the right a bit to stay out of the way on the manual radio controls. Check prices before you order on amazon because they vary from $10 to $17.
