Nope, no problems at all. Just don’t over cut the metal that hooks the seat into place. Seriously, the best mod ever.

Nope! Just bent my hooks down and it’s still rock solid. Way easier 30-40mins! FYI If you have leather seats it may make the rear head rest a little tight against the window when sliding it open?

I posted in the OP's posted thread a few weeks ago.
I had bought hooks from another forum member on my old forum several years ago.
I got around to installing them a few weeks ago.

If I had it to do over again, without the modified hooks, I would just beat the back wall hooks down with a hammer.

I have to hold the seat backs back with one hand while moving the seat bottom up or down.
But it in nice to have that little area to stash something...

One work of caution, when putting the seat bolts back in, thread them in by hand and then tighten.
DO NOT use an impact driver to start the bolts.
The threads of the bolt and hole will strip out very easily...

    How do I know???????????

Yep, I don't have any pics, but I do remember my 2005 rear seat backs folding down.
Can't remember if the folded all the way up.
I sure do miss the lowering sliding rear window..:(

They fold down, then there is a release to pivot the folded seats away so you can access the small storage spaces underneath.
