Folks what are you all using for storage if you have a hard cover on your bed of your truck?
And what would you all recommend?

Depending on your security needs and budget the Diamondback cover and tool box that sits underneath is very secure but also pricey. I have the standard model cover and the 8 inch deep box and like it a lot. The shallow 8 inch box allows for longer items to fit underneath.

All of us are not using any of the same thing?
You need to decide what to use based on what YOU need to carry dont you think?

There are so many options and so little detail from you about your needs that it is tough to know where to start really.

D73D366B-38E8-4BB8-B615-EEEE3E8F8618.jpg Diamondback SE with the 8” deep crossbin.

The SE allows for 400 pounds of storage on top of the cover, installs and is removable in minutes, retains the use of the bedrail system, is water tight, and fully secure.

The tailgate opens and closes normally without having to lift the rear panel. The cargo light perfectly illuminates the bin at night.

I don’t work for them! Just a very satisfied customer.

DEBCB798-B63D-435C-9CCE-258AB15ED12C.jpg I have the truck covers USA American work cover and am also a very satisfied customer. I like having super quick access to my tools and also being able to use the whole bed whenever I want. Tool box has lighting inside so you can see what you have in there and the cover can support up to 300lbs (so they say). I’ve stood on it without problems and I’m 200 on a very good day. You can also get it with rails installed which allows for cross bars or ladder rack (pic is of me doing some fabrication work for my ladder rack). Highly recommend checking them out

They have two options. You can install rails (like I did) which are geared towards a lower rack, or you can have an overhead rack that goes with their cover too.

I didn’t like the look of their rack and I believe it’s semi-permanent (not sure, sure give them a call), but I wanted a overhead rack that can easily be removed and swapped out for a lower rack. So, I went with a modified option 1 and custom made some landing pads to work with the tracone ladder rack. I haven’t finished yet but will post up pictures as soon as it’s done
