Whatever this forum told me to do

it's hard to find a shop to do this kinda work*.

    well, it is for me.

it seems everyone is scared to do "fun" stuff.

I was gonna use my Toyota guy in Kemah (toy-lex), but like you said.....too far.

    * this kinda stuff is beyond my "want" to do.

    well.

    I don't think so.

on my last dyno tune (2yrs?)...Peitz asked if I wanted the toyota transmission tune installed.

    of course.

    so, he did.

I think it was the one that came with the magnuson...or some other system, because it appeared to me it was in his HPTuners library.

did I feel a difference? not really.

The stock ab60 VB doesn't hold line psi/seal as well as a built one. The internal relays for SLU and SLT solenoids seal better so you have a crisp response.
One of the benefits of a built VB. Good check plugs and relays that seal well causing the internal relays for SLT/SLU and others to operate as intended. No internal psi leakage.
*sorry for repeating myself...can't help it. The built VB should be standard for most SC/turbo applications.

The biggest hurdle is the limited valve body inventory. Its the same with IPT and level10. Usually you remove, send in and it's built then sent back to you. The faster people who get them installed and returned helps the people waiting. The returned vb's are being rebuilt for those waiting.

Mine shipped last on the last year's GB, and I ordered 1.5 weeks before the actual GB started. Everyone will get theirs, but be mindful these typically have a 5-7 week lead time, IIRC. Add the mass push, and it might take longer for them to source the cores. These same discussions happened last year and everyone received theirs. And everyone who had to wait still love theirs and I haven't seen a single complaint. Be patient, it's worth it.

I think there is a disconnect in how the construct works.

Johnny is a small shop. He's explained he is in the garage as much as he is handling e-commerce. Being focused on the Land Cruiser (and perhaps a merger), he became WATs North American supplier. Their only one.

So, he handles all the NA orders, and then WAT processes them however they do via their internal systems, and then direct ships them to the customer. Johnny then has the task of tracking and receiving cores inspecting them, and then shipping batches back to WAT in AUS.

He'll get to you. If you a more rapid response, call him. But I hope that helps she's some light on what you are dealing with. If he's been off supporting his primary customers at a large event, he's either still returning, taking a few days, or simply catching up. He's never ghosted anyone on this forum and he has a good reputation over on IH8 as well.

When in doubt, just call him. These larger purchases always stress the systems, but enjoy the discount. There some things he'll be able to control and some he can't, but he's honest and will tell you. :)

There is zero indication, for my part, I'm getting ghosted. However, my statement regarding a response to an email stands.

Thanks bflooks for the info, I knew that. I was excited because I got an email from DHL (I didn't read) because I assumed Johnny was going to deal with the tariff. When I didn't get the VB, I looked (last week) and it was about NOT getting a refund on a LSD i got from Romania for the BMW. :(
