Greetings fellow gruffians!


I just recently picked up an AZ 2006 V8 DC in the sweet red color.

I picked up a sweet soccer mom edition 98 limited 4Runner with 298 k on the clock. By the end of it I had front bumper skids, sliders etc on it. Took that puppy to Colorado, Moab, John Bull and had a bitchin’ time bouldering in it. I learned how to wrench and weld on her. Great car.


That said I was missing having a truck bed and s’more(s)power. So here we are starting over.



Current state of affairs:


This car will be a daily driver, but I plan on doing some fast over landing type stuff. Probably won’t be bouldering again anytime soon.


This truck came with spacers and method rims. It had an inside door handle delete (any leads on a front driver interior panel are welcome) and a clogged cat. The previous owner had the “front end rebuilt” so new LCA’s, new ball joints, camburg UCAS.


Since purchasing I’ve put a 3inch cat back exhaust with a flow master muffler, timing belt/water pump and toy tech lift kit to get rid of the spacers. I’ve also added New spark plugs, steel break line and a few new coil packs and am working on some more maintenance items before I start adding armor back on. I am also trying to cannibalize parts from my runner and put them on the new rig (any leads on more cross compatible parts welcome).



Future plans:

I’m a masters student so things might move slow so take this with a grain of salt.


Eventually, I’m gonna put a LT kit and all the goods on this goat.


Til then I hope to fab up my own sliders, skids, front/rear bumpers and see where the road leads. Hope to get this ball rolling and get to wheel with some of you sooner rather than later.
