Hello, I'm in the process of installing some 6112s, 5160s and Bilstein B8 control arms. The Bilstein instructions recommended using
Prothane Super Grease. Does anyone know if this is the blue grease that came in the uca ball joint? I currently have Tractor Supply Traveller Marine and Off Road Grease NLGI #2 in my garage and was wondering if this was compatible with the blue stuff in the B8 ball joint, and also ok to use in the B8 poly bushings?
If it wasn't the wknd, I'd give Bilstein a call but I need this figured out asap because I have my alignment scheduled for Monday. I appreciate any input

Not compatible.. prothane super grease is a silicone/ptfe grease. (And I hate it because it’s got to be a top contender against antiseize when you get it on you)Petroleum based grease can cause the poly bushings to degrade.

Yes the NLGI 2 should be fine in the ball joint, just not on the poly bushings that connect to the frame mount.

Did the kit not come with the little white tubes of the special grease?

Thank you for the input. My kit did come with the little grease packets, I used them on the inside and face of the bushings. Just not sure what type I should put into the zerk fittings in the frame side, as well as top off what Bilstein already has in the ball joints. Hopefully it's something I can find locally, and today haha.

Thank you brother, I appreciate the insight. I rescheduled my alignment until Wednesday and the Prothane Super Grease is supposed to be delivered Tuesday.
