So I got backed into by a friend in my driveway and my rear bumper on my driver's side was pushed in. Its pretty slight but wasnt sure if it was something I could fix myself or go through insurance and take it to a shop. Appreciate the help! 20180610_155327.jpg 20180610_155234.jpg 20180610_155239.jpg

I guess it depends on your deductible and how serious the damage is. Won't take much to correct that but the shop may just order a new bumper. A coworker just had the same thing happen to his F150 except on the front passenger corner. Bumper is one piece on the Ford. He got a new aftermarket bumper. Insurance covered it.

I was trying to avoid insurance route for friend for his sake but will if needed. Is it possible to just tap it back in place on a Tundra? I havent crawled underneath it yet and im not the best handyman. Appreciate the response.

People are always selling their chrome bumper ends around here. You could pick one up and probably straighten the original brackets. Unless you’re fine with the small scratches in the original. Then just take it apart straighten all the pieces and mounting points, then reassemble.

i did something similar and i was able to straighten it out mostly. unbolted it and re aligned it some, its still not perfect but better then it was. If i get the time i'll totally remove that section and straighten out the brackets.
