    hey all

Really enjoyed this forum and my tundra, but as I mentioned before I sold it.

Just got this baby. Maybe mods? Maybe... D3BEF44A-99FC-4FC5-8DE2-7B06C5F78A5C.jpg

I've never had an Audi break down on me before, especially not a new one. Very sound cars for up to 6-7 years before replacing the turbo lol.

That car looks very nice. I had briefly considered trading my Tundra for a RS3 sedan. A LOT more money though. Not gonna happen. :)

    I'm sorry LOL
    :D:p

eta - in all seriousness, I did talk my sister into a 2015 S4 a few years back and it's been okay for her - not too bad. A friend just upgraded his old 2012 S8 to the 2018 S8+ (he also has an R8 with V10) and holy shit they're both Fing amazing LOL
Another friend has a 2012 A6 - it was problematic as soon as he hit 40K.
Which is why I went GS350 FSport LOL.

But the Audi's do look nice. They finally went to folding mirrors upon lock. I love that feature on my Lex.

    Very nice. Love those interiors

Don't flash it! I've was reading some thread on the Audi forum about some poor guy that bought a CPO car and was then denied warranty work because it had been flashed by the PO. Turned out to be a real cluster.

Is this an A4 with probably the 4cyl 2.0? If so I don't know much about those.
Either way some tunes you can remove before returning to dealer.
The guys with the 3.0 V6 S/C in the A6 didn't have too many issues after a tune - and it bumped them up nicely almost into S6 territory. I almost went that route and dug into it a bit - couldn't handle the "not knowing" on reliability though.

And to the OP - to answer your question, of course you have to mod it! I HIGHLY recommend a set of Vossens!! (after a slight drop of course)
It’s hard to tell from online pictures, but they are sooo worth every extra penny over the run-of-the-mill wheels that are cheaper! I've had a ton of different MFG's over the years (TSW, Enkei, etc) and splurged on Vossens. I'm in love with them.

I just picked up these 20" Vossen VSF-2's in a color they just discontinued - but they come in 3 different other colors. They look much better in person, very clean - and I bet they'd look super clean on your new Audi. Enjoy starting the modding process all over again and congrats on the new ride!

Actually - now I know they would!! Check these out!!
A4 with Vossen VSF-2 (although this is a little too low for me)

To the “OP”, congrats on the new ride. Contrary to what many people believe they are actually pretty reliable. Keep it up with maintenance and you will do fine. One of my brother in laws is the service manager for one of local Audi dealerships. The only thing I’ve heard with conversations with him are the brakes tend to be replaced early in these cars. But then again it’s same with any other German cars. Enjoy in good health!

Oh damn! They sold him a CPO that previously had a tune! NOW that’s F’d up!!!
Tuning an S6, that’s already a 400hp+ V8 in stock form. I’m not too familiar with that platform - but I’d imagine after tuning an already high performance tuned platform, there may be issues LOL.

I used to think that. Drove lifted trucks since 1999.
Then I picked up an IS350 because I was doing so much mileage daily when we bought land to start building.
I enjoy both, for different reasons. I always said I could never stand being so low and not seeing around traffic. But when you’re on those long drives and you can click over into the triple digits it’s a blast LOL.
That’s why I ended up with the Lexus/Tundra - usually drive Tundra in shitty weather and Lexus (GS350 above) in nice weather.
It’s nice to switch it up every now and then.

I can understand having both. But not having a truck....that sucks. I did that once for a stretch. Then I finally got back into a truck and will never be without one again (barring any unforeseen crazy circumstances). It took me quite a while to earn the man card back after being truckless for as long as I was. That said....cars can be fun and I understand completely the thrill of driving a higher performance one. But I am a truck guy deep down. Always have been....always will be.

Prior to Tundra I was in a 2005 GMC Sierra Duramax 1-Ton - so yea, I could never go without a truck entirely! That wouldn’t last a week with our lifestyle.

I remember when I posted in TT that I bought a GTI. I got 2 responses over and over.

    1) why?
    2) sell it!

Enjoy the Audi, they're nice cars with bad reputations. Most people who "have a lot of problems" with those really just get taken for a ride every time they see a mechanic.

This is a really distasteful post. Anyone who doesn’t drive a truck doesn’t have their “man card”?

    I know several
People with Audis and they’ve been nothing but great cars. You got what you wanted and I bet you’re are happy with it OP!

I've been driving my mom around in her 1997 Lexus ES300. Jeebus - feels like you're driving a go cart. I don't think I'll ever be able to sit that low again.

My wife went from an A4 to a Q5 to almost buying a Q7 because she wanted third row. I asked her to drive the 4Runner with third row and she loved it and bought one. Both are probably worth about the same in five years.
