Ok, I could make this story really long but here’s what’s up. Since I got my Fuel Vapors I’ve had a vibration that’s been driving me nuts. Yesterday they swapped tires and all was ok until I noticed they had 60, yes 60 1/4 ounce weights on my right rear tire. Since this seemed completely unacceptable to me I went back, talked to the manager (who was very cool) and offered to swap my wheels.

The top Fuel Vapors are what I have and the bottom XDs are what I’m going to.
Give me your HONEST opinion on the new choice...

They will be on a Silver Sky Mettalic Tundra

They are similar looking rims. I like the fuels only because they have the blacked out bolts. I like XD’s and know they are a solid rim. So yeah they look good as well:thumbsup:

Good call. One thing about the XD is that those bolts spin right out and can be swapped. Also, the plates that those bolts are on can be removed for cleaning and also can be interchanged with numerous different colors. I doubt I would do that but the fact they can be removed/replaced if they get scratched dinged is cool.

Yeah that is a good feature. XD has a good thing going with that as I have seen the rockstars have a similar setup.

4" lift, spyder headlights and tail lights, LT headers. Carven exhaust, and XD series monsters II wheels.
I run those exact XD's on my truck. No complaints I really like them, would sure buy XD's again in a heart beat. But again they are my first ever aftermarket wheel. End of the day it's what you like.

Both wheels look good (I like the center cap on the XD a little better). What is the offset of the XD compared to the Fuel? If they are different, will the XD's give you the stance that you are looking for?

+18 on both. I had +6 and rubbed pretty bad. Truck is leveled with 6112s

+18 is a good offset. In the end I don't think you can go wrong with either. The XD has the stainless bolts that I think would look good on your truck. (I've been following the issues that you have had with the fuel wheels - glad to hear that this in close to being resolved. )

I like the looks of the Fuels better, but the XDs come in a +35 offset, right? That alone might sway me toward the XDs...

Yea, thanks! I’m ready for it to be done. They have pulled those Fuels off 6 times and in the process scratched them and gouged them in a few places.
I’m digging the XDs. I was going to go with Methods but they really don’t grab my eye. I know they are a solid wheel though.

Not sure if they come in 35. You want something a little more conservative?

Yeah, I'd prefer if they didn't stick out as much so fender flares aren't needed. I really love the Fuel Beasts but they only come in a +1 or +20. The 17" version comes in a +35 which I'm highly considering, but I'd like to stick with an 18" if possible.

Lol! One good thing about the XD is I can replace the bolts to black and replace the cap bolts to black. That’s the one thing I’m not sure I like is the silver bolts but easily changed.

They look basically the same wheel just a different black. I think those icons Darth showed would look dope on the silver. I like the two tone wheels.
